So far I have added each of the course sections I have completed. I started with my institution's catalog and seperate policy booklet. I was already very familiar with our policies before starting the notebook.
We implement terms such as: outcome-oriented, integrity and accountability. We also stress attendance and positive attitude as key components to future success, and gainful employment.
Product knowlege is key if you intend to help anyone.
The Resource Notebook is an excellent idea. I am in the process of putting ours together now. It will be so helpful. Am looking forward to using it.
Information Packet, Application for Admissions,
Class Start Date, Enrollment Agreement, Financial Aid, Required Testing to enter program, Screening and background check.
We begin with an information packet. Student completes the application for admissions form which begins the enrollment process for our school. Included in our catalog is an admission policies which explains our enrollment process for each program we offer.
Great input to add the above information to notebook as well as rules/regulations, policies/ procedures and terms. It will be a great tool to stay well informed and organized.

Review the course catalog. Learned of the different accreditation.
I have all documents necessary in my notebookand label them out because is a good references for my work and I also keep it update with any new information that can be useful for my institution.
I find out the Resoource Notebook is a great tool. There is so much important and helpful informations can be organized the Notebook for the admission staff as needed.
I have put procedural detail in my resource notebook in both Spanish and English due to our diverse student population. I have also included a master copy of all admissions paperwork and an organizational chart. It is important to keep on top of the notebook to be sure that you are representing the school accurately.
As the director of admissions- it is my role to make sure that my resource notebook is as current as possible and to try to alert the admissions staff to update their notebooks when applicable. I found that the rules and regulations can be easily followed through attention to detail and staying as current as possible.
I have worked for my institution for many years and have seen a lot of changes. Keeping current is very important; therefore continually updating the resource notebook is mandatory. Not following procedures impacts the integrity of the entire institution and the students' potential outcome. I keep all admissions documents and requirements along with CIE's rules and regulations.
Along with the terms and definitions, I have added our course catalog, contact information for all directors of each department, the admissions procedure and class schedule. I also keep a blank enrollment packet to ensure I am using the correct terminology.
I learned through this process what percentages we must maintain for certain things to keep our accreditation safe.
I have added the rules to my Resource Notebook. It is a very handy addition to my departments Procedures Manual. Our institution holds Regulatory Compliance meetings every week and it the rules are great topics for discussion and reference.
Some of the terms and definitions commonly used during the admission process at my institution that were covered in Module 1 are accreditation, advertising, enrollment, program, regulations and Title IV. Some other terms and definitions that are commonly used during the admission process at my institution that were not mentioned are credentials and tuition assitance.
