Good day!

I have learned over the past 3 days, that having the catalog handy at all times is very important! There is so much information, that realistically speaking, you may not remember every detail. You may not always have the answer immediately, but knowing where to find the answer is critical. I believe that knowing how to use your resources is important because it adds value to the students' overall experience, and also gives you credibility.

Warmest Regards,
Deborah Diaz

A resource notebook is a great tool as it gives me one organized place to keep all necessary information about my institution and the rules and regulations that must be followed.

I have found that creating the notebook provides me with a level of organization that I didn't have before. I keep all reference materials, manuals, student materials, etc.. and pass this along to my administrative staff. This in turn makes the admissions representative responsible for knowing required material. Through this course I discovered that responsibility lies with the admission rep. in the case of an inappropriate action and since I have made changes to the staff policy.

I can't wait to start putting together my resource notebooks and thanks for the tip on establishing several of them verses just one big binder. I think organization is the key to success when you have so much information and guideline and regulations to abide by. Great learning tools!

Well there is Accreditation, Title IV, and Institution. Just a few I remember.

Hello Patty,

In my resource notebook I have placed marketing info, admissions scripts, Telephone questionnaires, the enrollment process, important websites/phone numbers and many more things!!

Joseph ,
That's a great idea! Putting a date on it tells you when you added the material.

Patty Aronoff

Mark,

Keep on learning and reviewing. You never know.

Patty Aronoff

Alice,

Great news! Regulations revolving military are changing every day. Be sure to keep up-to-date with the changing trends.

Patty Aronoff

Alan,
Continue to add additional information to make your resource notebook more valuable. You can't ever have to much!

Patty Aronoff

DAHLIA,

Excellent! Having the information we need to remain compliant is so much easier if it's all in one place.

Patty Aronoff

Kathleen,

Thank you for your feedback! All forms of advertising in a marketing strategy is regulated by the Commission for Independent Education.

Luke,

I think that's a great idea. Providing the students with the jump drive that has the catalog and all pertinent information is the step forward in the technology part of providing information.

Patty Aronoff

Luke,
Having backups to our data is so important. Many times jump drives just don't work and we lost the information when we need it.

Patty Aronoff

William,
Our actions impact many people that we deal with every day. It is important that we maintain the honesty, integrity, and transparency.

Patty Aronoff

James,

Vocabulary words are an excellent addition. We need to make sure we're talking about the same things. Vocabularies make that clear for us and the student.

Patty Aronoff

frank,
There is a lot to learn. The updates are important in making sure that the material you have available to you is current and up-to-date.

Patty Aronoff

Troy,

Services provided to students is an important part of the discussion at any moment. Students often need help in various areas and the school should outline what is available to them.

Patty Aronoff

Ronda,
Advertising is a form of marketing. Marketing is a strategy in which you try to capture prospective students. Advertising is a form of that activity.

Patty Aronoff

Elyse,

Transfer of credits is up to the receiving institution. Many students mistakenly assume that all credits transfer.
