At my campus we offer Cosmetology, Spa Therapies, Nails, Massage and combinations of both if need be. The way our student learn about prospective jobs is through not only the admissions process but also meeting with our instructors and the very important Career Services Advisor.

Presently two nursing programs are offered at my school.

In order to learn about the jobs students train for it is important to hold discussions with our Placement Department. Information can also be garnered from the internet as well by speaking with our Director of Education.

I will also need to read our local newspaper as well as keep abreast of online placement websites for possible community job offerings .

Dental Assisting Program. The newspaper and reports state a need for Dental Assistants in Florida.

The programs we offer are; Business Admin, Health care Reimbursement, Medical Assisting, Medical Billing & Coding, Medical Office Admin, Paralegal Studies, Pharmacy Tech, Surgical Tech, and Paralegal Studies. I will consult with Career Services to find out about the jobs students train for.

In the school I work for we offer nursing classes like: CAN,HHA, PCA, LPN, RN, and BSN. The way I learn about them is by reading the catalog, sitting in some lecture, and talking to the students and instructors.

At my institution we offer Patient Care Assistant Practical Nursing, Associate of Science in Nursing, and Bachelors of Science in Nursing.

My University offers the BSN degree and the LPN_BSN degree- i have learned that the demand in Florida for RN is big and witht eh right training, our graduates can be confident witht he application of jobs they desire.

We will be offering a diploma and at this time we have only one program available.

We offer Cosmetology, Facial Specialist and Nail Technician.

I spend a lot of time in each program to see what the students are doing from the theory to the practical.

Greg,
You are taking the right steps to become more aware of the programs that your school offers. Tapping into those wonderful resources will provide you the information you need to present true product knowledge.

julie,

Excellent! We are taking this journey with our students. Our resources available on campus will help them when they transition out into the work world.

My school offers business graduate degrees only, so the best way for me to learn is to: speak with the admissions officers that lead each program (there are leads for each), sit in on a few classes of each, review the guidelines and expectations for admissions for each, and speak with placement officers about what students do after graduation. There are basic differences in each program, and sometimes applicants may be unsure about which program is the right fit - this is part of the admissions person's job; working through options with the applicant.

We train students in cosmetology ,barber, massage , facial and nail.we research of each program and can help student who wants to study

Erika,

Your career services department holds valuable information for students. They are aware of what is available in the career field and will help with interviews and resumes.

Our campus offers A.S. and B.S. degree programs for Medical Assistant (A.S.), Computer Information Systems (A.S. and B.S.), Business Administration (A.S. and B.S.), Elementary Education (B.S.), Allied Health Management (B.S.), Legal Assistant (A.S. and B.S.), and Interdisciplinary Studies (B.S.). I think it is helpful to talk to the career placement director about the different types of careers that students can pursue once they have their degree. I feel that online research is also helpful in discovering career fields for different majors.

Colleen,
Two great programs in the dental field. Having expanded functions gives educational opportunities to those already in the career field. Excited!

We offer two programs at our school, one for those seeking to become dental assistants, and one for existing dental assistants that are looking to acquire their expanded duties certificate.

I am acquainted with what is required of dental assistants, both new and expanded functions, after having worked eight years in a functioning dental practice. I can help students understand hours, terminology, duties and expectations, as well as any other pertinent information.

Elizabeth,

Career services is a great resource. They should be working with the students from day one in which they enter school in preparing for that job in their dreams at the end of their program

Ebony,

As admissions staff, we need to know the entire picture. From selecting a particular program, to the level of instruction, to what a graduate should expect, and then finally to the career field.

Patty Aronoff

We offer a variety of programs ranging from medical, allied health, business, and networking to name a few. I will learn more about the programs and how they can benefit a student by getting to know what these programs offer, sitting in on some instruction, and staying current with knowing what jobs are being created or are currently in existence for that specific field, as well as new information that needs to be learned to stay competitive.
