My institution is very strong follow rules and regulation. this rally refresh and happy that I work for this institution that is strong.
Carla
I have the luxury of having a close working relationship with the owner and director of the school. I can ask as many questions as necessary. I have a good understanding, but I admit I learn something new everyday.
My knowledge rating is very thorough at my institution. I think the reasoning behind that is how organized everything is. We have specific processes when we meet with students that do require us to go into great detail about specific programs, give tours and introduce the student to all departments within the school, etc. Each meeting with a potential student and tour allows me to continuously feel comfortable with my knowledge of what we offer, what our philosophy is. I'm also discovering new things each day with new inquiries, new students, obstacles to overcome, etc.. Also, if I am unsure of things, I am always able to easily ask questions and get detailed answers from my DOA or even fellow employees. Working within a good team environment is extremely important.
Being the Managing Director, I'm very knowledgeable and comfortable with all departments of the school. Despite my comfort ability, I always seems to struggle with the financial assistance aspect. I have improved a great deal and I'm always looking for ways to improve.
The institution I work for is very small at this point in time, so it is easy to know quite a bit, if not all, the ins and outs about it. But I know there are some areas I could definitely refresh myself in.
I have been with the organization for the past seven years and have worked in the areas of admission, finance, and academics. I have also completed both an Associate’s degree as well as Bachelor’s degree with the institution so I have a good level of information as to what it takes to be a successful student. I consistently make sure that I am up to date with all required trainings and am also considered the go-o person within my department for answers to questions. When in doubt I always find the appropriate person to ask that can guide me in the right direction.
On a scale from 1-10, I would rate myself a 7. When I first got here, I was panicking because it was a much more different atmosphere from my previous job. Change was scary which made me shut down. Until I started getting the hang of the paperwork. Today, I could help enroll a student with no problem. Of course, I still have certain questions that I must ask my director.

Andrew,
You must have product knowledge in order to provide that information to your students. Product knowledge is essential in admissions as you are providing the student with first-hand information about the program that they seek.
