Mark,
I am glad you are delving into the why reasoning. There is a purpose for the ruling and it protects both the student and the school. Unfortunately, there are institutions that do not abide and they tend to make the news.
Raymond,
Regular sharing of knowledge and ideas is a great way to keep the team working on the same page.
I work to know all I can about my institution. I not only review all writtem materials but seek out team members, faculty and others to learn as much as I can
Hi Patty....We are a small school of about 100-125 students. What I do know about our school is that our President, Mr. Dooley is very well respected and operates ethically and morally as a school should. That is one of the reasons I like working here. I am very clear on all of our programs and I always make sure that I explain them slowly and clearly to students. Additionally, you want to make sure that you review "additional expenses" like Labs and other disclosure items. Part of what I am discovering now is the "why". For years we see all of this information on the enrollment agreement and applications, but you're not really understanding who requires this and why. This course is a Godsend. When I think about this, I find it hard to believe that it has not been a requirement for so many years! I look forward to Section 4 and studying for my final.........Mark Stein
Diane,
Having a small school has its benefits. Make sure to share your expertise and knowledge.
Kim,
Good for you! Keep on learning!
Lucia,
Some organizational charts only list functions and not people. Every chart is structured diffently.
Tracy,
The organizational chart may be simplistic or very detailed. It provides a wealth of information on the structure of the institution, chain of command and the duties of the individuals within the organization. How it is used is determinate upon the institution itself.
Tamara,
Great news! Keep on learning!
Elliot,
The importance of the school's rules and regulations cannot be understated. When these rules have to be applied, it is so much better if they already have some understanding.
Lucia,
Having institutional knowledge and expertise such as this is a great asset indeed!
Candi,
It is wonderful to have the background that you do. Impressive is the survey evaluations! This is a great tool for improvement.
I feel like I know 100% about my school. I have a very small school. We have 2 admissions assistants and 2 programs that we offer. It is not a hard job to keep up with such a small school. If I worked at a larger facility, I would see how all other information would be so much more complicated and necessary to constantly update.
I have learned a lot about my institution in training sessions and by speaking with other departments. I feel knowledgeable about the programs, policies , and procedures.
I agree with you however under the section Organization Structure, and Policies and Procedures it talks about organization chart and goes on to say, "In addition, the mission of each department may be listed."
This is why I answered True to the question.
I think it is very important to know a great deal about your school.I would rate myself a 9 out of 10.
I think I have a good understanding regarding the programs that our school offer in the medical fields. Let's the prospect know everythings regarding rules and regulations of the school.
Candi,
You are very fortunate to have worked in so many areas of your school. You bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the job.
Jeff,
Financial aid knowledge is really a specialized position and requires thorough knowledge. It is best to leave it to the experts.
I have been with our instituation for 15 months.
Having 40 years plus in Management and Sales, I can say that Education is a very different business. My Director has 30+ years in the field.
Along with compliance, ethics, and knowledge she has a strong sense of compassion for her students which reflects in our placement record. This is a great asset in these hard times as our graduates continue to be our best source of referral.
