Elaina,
Thank you for posting your experience and knowledge.
Ninette,
Learning about your school can be an exciting experience. Talk with students, staff and faculty. Sit in on a few classes. Spend some time in career services.
Great question, I know we offer Associates degree's (6) and Bachelors (4) programs. I know we have some amazing admission reps, f/a advisor's as well as other amazing departments. We have a "easy to navigate" finance portal that walks students through all needed steps to get their financial aid completed. I work w/ students on financial aid : ) so I see how easy it is for students to use our finance portal. Lincoln college of New England is accredited by NEASC to mention one and Lincoln College of Technology is accredited by ACICS. This is a drop in the bucket to what our institution offers or consist's of.
After completing module 3 I realize I am not as knowledgeable as I should be. It's very simplistic. The more you know about your institution the better equipped you are to properly assist students.
Reinaldo,
It is imperative to keep current. If we do not, we cam inadvertently mislead the student.
Nate,
Students rely on staff to answer their questions. Knowledgeable employees bring a confident spirit to the table.
Renate,
I agree! That is what makes our schools so exciting, we CHANGE lives.
Renate,
Getting involved with the entire school will certainly assist you in learning more. Talk with instructors and current students. Everyone wants to talk about their experiences.
We are a new school and yes it is so important to know everything there is... not only for your sake but the more knowledgeable you are the more likely a student is to attend because they will have every question answered
Although I'm fairly new, I feel that I am knowledgeable about my institutions programs, policies, and procedures. I have also discovered that it's a never ending learning process as new information is always emerging, so keeping up to date is an important factor.
The institution I am working for is a unique Healing School. Having been employed there for ten (10) years now, I have learned a lot and grown to become a knowledgeable Admissions Representative. It has been satisfying to speak with graduates from the school who found their training life-changing. I love working there!
I am working as a Student Enrollment Representative and have been in this position for several years being familiar with all aspects of the enrollment process. I am working closely with our Student Affairs Manager as well as our Registrar and the Finance Department. Over the years, I have gained quite a bit of experience and learned what kind of marketing tools work for our school. We are hoping for a strong enrollment this year in spite of the poor economic conditions.
Cynthia,
It is important that addendums have effective dates for compliance.
Nelida,
Organizational charts are similar to maps. Some are detailed, some are not. I agree that they are important documents.
We constantly undergo training, product knowledge, interact with different departments within our facility and I review our catalog on a regular basis. Addendums are also forwarded to us.
I have to disagree. Organization charts helps members within the organization to understand how each department integrates together. It is important to know who are the heads of each department and what department falls under what director etc. Some organization charts are generic and some are very detailed.
Adriana,
Alumni can be a wonderful asset in developing leads for new enrollments. Go for it!
Denise,
You bring a wealth of knowledge. Others can certainly learn from you.
I thought I knew plenty about our institution, considering its small size. I have been enrolling students for 3 years and thought I was doing a pretty good job keeping our school compliant. However, this course has showed me where I can improve. I will work on the betterment of our Alumni Association and won't forget to mention it to prospective students any more!
I have been the Student Affairs Manger and Admissions Supervisor for 7 years. I am also a graduate of the school and have practiced Brennan Healing Science extensively in the healthcare arena. I am very well versed in our school and its policies, procedures, curriculum, etc. As I practiced the modality extensively, I am also a great resource to our graduates who are beginning their practices. I do love to learn, however, and always welcome the opportunity to learn something new!
