Words to live by...
I think the best thing to do is continue education even if its not required. There are so many new this developing daily we need to stay up to date.
We take courses online,go to seminars. In my opinion knowledge is the key to success in life
As of today this is the only course I have participated in order to learn about the process of having an institution.
I will begin my research on programs and seminars so i will stay up to date.
So important.
Jennifer,
Your school has many opportunities for learning. This is exciting.
Our department has a staff meeting once a week in which we learn about new procedures/policies and other important info that is detrimental to our job. In addition, we attend numerous conferences through out the year to learn more about our industry. Sessions like this are important and often a great learning experience.
Joy,
Sounds like you have a good process in place.
We have weekly lunch and learn meetings, taking this course and attending additional courses, workshops/seminars. Going to the CIE, Rules & Regulations and Statutes websites.
Geniece,
Share your knowledge at these meetings and ask questions.
Amanda,
Add this information to your notebook. I like to write in the margins and on the backs of pages.
Monica,
Faculty love to share their experiences and talk about their programs. They are a great resource.
Charles,
You are off to a great start. Keep on learning!
Dilailan,
The CIE meetings are broadcast on the internet through their website. If you cannot attend a meeting you can certainly catch it online.
Tamanji,
Learning never stops for anyone.
Jessica,
Everyone meeting together is an excellent idea. Not every school can manage such a meeting.
Donna,
You are receiving information from a variety of sources, good work!
