I attend the annual FAPSC conference which really covers a lot of the current events and regulations in the industry. It also gives a great opportunity to see what other institions are facing and how they are handling it.
We also have weekly meetings and quarterly trainings to discuss the facets of our job and any changes that take place over the course of time.

Once a week our acedemic department prepares product knowledge training for each specific program offered. They are fun, educational and most of all helpful to my ability to relate programs with prospective students

As an employee we must take e-learning courses, attend mettings/seminars with the Director of Recruitment, and outside learning courses like this one for professional development.

Meetings are need to be conducive to learning. Our experiences will help administration in many ways. They(meetings) are an excellent way to change information.

We have a staff meeting every Tuesday morning at 10 am. I also meet weekly with the director of education to discuss any changes in class, instructors, kits, uniforms, transfer credits...anything else they effects education and admissions. I also meet with the placement director weekly to keep updated on placement rates, employeers and grad procress. I am currently assisting with a job fair. We have a student clinic on site, this allows me to meet the employeers as well

Sharon,
Your school certainly places integration of admissions in every aspect of the school. Thank you for your post.

We have a staff meeting every Tuesday morning at 10:00 sharp...But I also meet the the Direction of Education and the Placement Director weekly...admissions staff is also required to sit in a min of 2 classrooms per month and then write a discription on the subject...its amazing the things you learn from being in the classroom

I have taken courses such a webinars, newsletters, etc. I have also attended to staff meetings in which data and marketing strategies are discussed. This is very helpful for admission due to the feedback we can give on the experience we have as a team.

We attend admissions training such as The Ethical Enrollment Process which was very informative and empowering. We also have weekly admissions training to keep up with any new policies and regulatory requirements and webinars.

We have weekly meetings, admissions training seminars and monthly staff meetings to keep up us inform of rules/regulations, marketing strategy, product knowledge and retention.....learning is a process, never ends!

In our Admissions Department we meet up with our DOA on a regular basis to learn more about our job, admissions policies, regulatory requirements, and our institution. Our president also takes the time to interact with us and inform us of any new changes.

Our director of admission always hepls us to be update with the information in this area. The other day we attended in a very interesanted conference and I know that all of us learned a lot. Also, I like to read about this area, you can find a lot of information in the web, testimonials, and some of the situations that we have everyday at work.

We have weekly admissions meetings on monday and every so often our school president calls an all-staff meeting to inform the entire body of any changes. These are generally done monthly. Each of the departments has an opportunity to come together and ask questions get clarity on various policies and procedures.
