Your instituion will have specific meetings that you will most likely be required to attend which have a specific topic you'll discuss. Internal departments may also have meetings that you can attend. There may be additional outside trainings that you can attend as well.
We have daily morning huddles to go over any changes and updates in policy/procedure. Also anytime there is a larger change in policy we have a large team meeting with proper traing on the new requirements to meet the new policies.
We have a daily morning meeting, scheduled trainings that helps us keep updated to policies, & regulatory requirements.
Through daily meetings and lunch and learn sessions where this vital information is relayed.
We have daily meetings to update us on the current status of the school. This also allows us to keep up to date on any changes in policies as well.
I have been in the industry for two months and have attended many meetings regarding industry regulations and admission policies. these meetings are held on a regular basis. we also have meetings about the school itself.
We have daily meetings for any updates as well as frequent group meetings, trainings and other things to make sure we are all compliant and up to date.
Our DOA meets with us as a group regularly to update us on policy revisions and new laws.
She meets with us individually to work on individual strengths and weaknesses as far as knowledge about our catalog, school policies and admission requirements.
We do the same thing, we participate in webinars, attend state conferences and local conferences. We have weekly meetings where there is always a new topic to discuss and on a daily basis we use each other as training experiences.
Although we are a small school, there is so much going on that without regular staff meetings, I would never be as informed as I need to be!

We meet every week on what changes and what was improved.
Absolutely, either our VP or Admission directors holds meetings every morning for the reps to provide encourgement and motivation regarding what we are here to accomplish (Changing Lives). This is done by providing the necessary training so we as rep understand our product; be updated on the changes to make our job better; understanding how we impact the lives of potential and current students, which will make the reps better in representing the organization.
We host weekly metings specifically on the topic of Admissions. In it we have teaching moments, where there is discussion regarding changing policies and or practices. Our Legal team also hosts meetings advising us of upcoming changes.
We subscribe to various periodicals ie The Chronicle to keep abreast of changes. We have a centralized Admissions area who is responsible for ensuring that all training material including policies are kept current and within regulation.
We have weekly lunch and learns as far as regulations and interview students. How to draw out students concerns and desires to make sure they are a good fit for the program and have the ability to succeed.
We have lunch and learn sessions once every couple weeks to go over particular topics that our admissions department needs to focus on. Our ADOA also mentions hot topics in our daily morning meetings. Of course, every once in a while our Director of Admissions will call a meeting when important changes in policies or regulatory requirements come up.
Melanie,
Meetings are important communication channels. Be sure to bring questions to the table.
