Lisa,

Limping simple is the best way to give information and having them retain it.

Patty Aronoff

Donard,

We owe it to the prospective student and our own ethical behavior to provide valued and honest information to the student.

You'll be mamazed to see how many popular schools in florida who don't really provide good advice or an advisor to their students. Sometimes the student only goes to that school based on hear-says. They don't have the necessary support to make the right choice in their education. That's why most of those students they take classes that are not part of the requirement of their field.

Beside the BLO there are a lot other websites that can give very good information on salary. we have salary.com, Gartner research etc. They have good info.

more cautious about what i am saying always trying to give the most and accurate information. which makes me keep more upto date on what is going on in the school and how i can help make things less complicated

Autumn,

It is sad. Unfortunately, those schools are the ones who make the headlines and the general public misses out on all the good our sector accomplishes.

I think that the Regulatory Requirements are important. While much of the rules are common sense to anyone with integrity, it is helpful to know that we are always doing what is in the best interest of the student.
My experience in admissions has led me to hear some stories about other schools which disappoint me greatly! How sad that some institutions put profit over people.

Shane,
Absolutely! The information you provide them is what they base their decision on. We owe it to integrity and honesty to follow through.

Patty Aronoff

Salomon,

It is a best practice. We should provide the most information possible so they caN make a learned decision.

As the person overseeing various departments for a small school, it is imperative that I am aware of the rules and regs of the CIE to ensure that our instution is in compliance and that our prospective and current students are provided with complete and honest information so that they are able to make an informed decision regarding their education and career.

I beleive the requirements are very helpful, all information given to a prospective student is based on verifiable data not on someones perception of the field or position.

Jean,

We certainly don't want that! The impact of not following the rules is far reaching affecting not only the school, but more importantly the student.

Patty Aronoff

Joe,

Agreed! Learn and know the rules by making sure your practices and documents stay within the parameters set by the state of Florida.

Patty Aronoff

Kevin ,

The rules certainly do that! It is very important that we read and fully understand the rules so that it protects us as well as thee students.

Patty Aronoff

The CIE governs your institution's practices regarding enrollment agreements, fair consumer practices, and marketing. If you don't know these rules you put yourself at risk for noncompliance.

The rules and regulations provided by the commission sets the standards for us as an admissions representative. Working within that framework is the only way to attain success in helping prospective students reach their educational goals.

The requirements set forth by the Commission for Independent Education holds admissions representatives accountable for disclosure and doing what is ethical and right by potential students.

Katina,

The catalog is developed through rule. You should know and use the catalog well.

Patty Aronoff

Michael,

Consistency, we all love it and want it.

Patty Aronoff

Porsche,
