Sara,
The statutes and rules are the foundation of how we operate in the State of Florida. Compliance begins there.

Erika,
Continue to seek additional opportunities to grow and learn.

Robin,
You are fortunate in having such a wonderful resource. It is a good practice to keep checking the CIE website.
Patty Aronoff
My plan is to keep abreast of all the rules and regulations, have a binder with specific areas highlighted or better yet ensure that electronic information is readily available for all staff who deals with enrollment and admissions. Ongoing trainings and meetings are also plans for acquiring up to date information.
Attending on going CIE seminars, having the most current and updated material and rersources readily on hand at the school. Important also is continous dialogue with the CIE as well as going on the website to get current information are other plans for gathering the most updated information.
John,
Knowledge of financial aid takes a great deal of resources and information gathering.

ROSANGELA,
Thank you or the feedback. We believe in the resource notebook and the value of having the information ready when you need it.

I think being informed of the Statues and Rules is the first part of Compliance. You can be informed by attending annual training such as this and staying up-to-date by checking informative websites like the Florida Department of Education website. Also keeping a binder of Statues and Rules will help you to have easy access to know what to do in every situation.
Continue to take these courses, and keep all the materials electronically for reference.
Our Institution's compliance officer is dedicated to reviewing any state rules and passing on that information to the faculty and staff. Biweekly I also check the Florida Commission for Independent Education website just to check.
Keeping track of IFAP, and attending federal conferences, as well as FASFA meetings. Updates like the interest rate on sub loans, is always available.
It is important to keep all the information at your “finger tipsâ€. Thanks to the internet we have a easy access here at the school to check with independent education, updates on the CIE website. Also we email the staff in the school so we all keep the information available.
I also use the Notebook as a hardcopy; since I took the first course CM201.And it helps all of the staff involved with the admission to provide accurate information to all of applicants.
Christy,
FAPSC also has a great website keeping schools informed of what is happening in our sector.
Patty Aronoff
My plan is to review our current information and make sure it is up-to-date. As I read through the thread, I recognized the importance of checking the CIE website, as well as attending the FAPSC Annual Conference.
Wilson,
Having the resource notebook is your gateway to compliance. Making sure it is current is very important.
Patty Aronoff
Dian,

Patty Aronoff
Heather,
You have a whole team working together for compliance. Awesome!
Patty Aronoff
Kimberly,
That is awesome. The Internet provides us additional opportunities through discussion groups and networks.
Patty Aronoff
create a binder with information such as the rules and regulations. Keep in touch through the CIE website for additional information.
Great Link! Thanks for sharing Renee. I do the same thing. If you don't have this saved on your computer do it now.
