Dominic,

Excellent! Quarterly reviews are a great idea.

Patty Aronoff

Gina,

Solid communication must be established and maintained between departments.

Patty Aronoff

Gathering the information and sharing information with staff so that everyone is in compliance and well aware of any changes that have been made. Keeping the information organized as to have a source of reference.

My Manager plans weekly and daily meetings for all reps. We include compliance issues every Monday to make sure we are all on the same page. As a new rep to this field I find them invaluable as there is much to learn even though I think common sense combined with the knowledge works hand in hand.

At my campus, we maintain a resource bind and conduct quarterly reviews of all info and changes.

Our Admissions team is in constant communication with our registrar and FA teams to ensure we are always communicating with up to date information to our prospective students.

urania,

Well that's a very good title. What is really important is the information inside.

Patty Aronoff

We have a resource binder (we like to call it the binder of alot of stuff to know. We have weekly meetings because of all the changes that go on so often we just want to make sure that everyone understands everything. At the meeting our Director of the school will hand out all the updates and we put them into our binder.

Thomas,

Meetings are an important part of disseminating information. They also give us the opportunity for clarification and questions that may come up in our everyday experience.

Patty Aronoff

Thomas,
That is a great asset to have. Compliance team has the ability to constantly search for changes.

Patty Aronoff

Paul,
Terminology is the language of everything that we do. If we are not understanding the terms, we can easily misconstrue the information.

Patty Aronoff

allison,

Excellent! Strong communication at your school keeps everyone well-informed and on the same page.

Patty Aronoff

Elyse,
You can also check the State Association website. FAPSC, Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools and Colleges is your organization that is your voice in the state capital.

Patty Aronoff

Linda J,
Very good advice! You should always have the most current rules at our disposal.

Patty Aronoff

We have a very similar process and find it works really well. We have weekly staff meetings that may include updates on compliance.

We have a compliance team that monitors any and all updates. They update everything in writing and it is handed out and kept in an admissions handbook.

I think keeping a resource binder at your desk is a great idea. I also liked the terminology section. When you are in admissions for a great many years you get use to using old terminology.

Our plan with all the updates that occur often are to keep them in our resource binders. All office personnel have one in their offices. Our Director of Education and School Director keep us posted on any updates and or changes. We also conduct monthly staff meeting to make sure everyone is on the same page.

I regularly check the CIE website for updates. Any time there is a change or updated information, I send and email to all of my colleagues to inform them. We log the updates and changes in a binder to make sure no one misses the new information.

One of the steps I take is to print out the Statutes and commission rules each new school year so I have the most current at my fingertips if any of my staff or customers have a particular question.
