The enrollment agreement is the actual cntract between the student and the University. The admissions contract is filed out by the admissions representative and the complete contract is explained and then once the student understands everything on the contact and agrees with it then the student signs it.

I am the admissions representative at my institution, so if there are any questions they are usually referred to me or the school director.
I have found that about 80% of prospective students have questions regarding the duration of the program, registration fees and refund policy. Then it is important to go over the "small print" with the applicant at the time of the interview, and clarify any doubts

Selimah,

Oh my! Saved by a student! Great story...

Yes definitely. I had an issue where I misplaced the 3rd page of my enrollment agreement and thank goodness the student had her copy; so I was able to get a copy for my file.

Charlene,
Yes, the enrollment agreement contains the refund policy. This should match exactly, word for word, withe the catalog.

Anna,
The enrollmnent agreement needs to be signed by all parties and a copy given to the student. The original should be maintained at the school.

Christina,
Yes, if you are not sure, always ask. It is always better to ask than to be wrong.

anthony,

Electronic copies can be maintained. Many schools are doing so for the sheer amount of storage capability.

The enrollment agreement clearly specifies the amount to be refunded to the students by calculation of their attendance.

A copy of the enrollment agreement should always be given to the student and file.

If my address changes throughout my time here at the school, will that be a problem?

If I didn't know the answer I would ask my supervisor and compliance after that.

I couldn't be without our enrollment agreements! It makes all requirements clear regarding deposits and matriculation information available to the students, faculty and staff.

It also protects the institution by clearly labeling requirements and guidelines so that the applicants are aware prior to accepting a seat.

Can the enrollment agreements and other parts of a student's file be stored electronically, or is it necessary to have actual files with all the paper documents?

The Enrollment Agreements must be given a copy to the student, and make an electronic copy in a fireproof gabinete

What a great idea. I am going to untilize this at our next admissions meeting! We often have meeting to discuss questions and things that come up in the admissions process with students.

Susan,

It is always best to go to the experts. Good ideas!

I had a question regarding the Refund Distribution Order for the Return of Title IV Funds. I contacted the Senior Admissions Representative and also copied the Director of Admissions.

Mily,

No, just put in a request to change your address. It is important that your information is always current.
