I always have my checklist ready when I sit with a prospective student. I found this very easy to follow. It helps us go over every detail.
Lindsey,
We should be checking back in on the students. A student wants to feel that they are part of the campus community not just another enrollment.

we offer them their enrollment letter of acceptance and awit that they decide we are their school of choice. Once they agree we ensure all questions are answered and walk them thru the enrollment agreement to be signed. We also ensure they understant their financial responsibility and that all questions are answered regarding that obligation as well. They are given a class schedule or time to log in with their log in credentials. They are then walked on to their class formally with an advisor to ensure they fell comfortable on their first day of class.
alain,
Does the student get a tour of the facility? They should so that they can become familiar with the school and staff.
Patty Aronoff
Mike,
Very interesting! Thank you for sharing your processes.
Patty Aronoff
Francisco,
Excellent! Patience and going over each step is so important. They need to know that this information is important.

the steps of the enrollment process are the application fee, enrollment agreement, transcripts, photocpy of passport, and a formal interview with the Directors of admissions..
We utilize an online application for candidates. Normally applicants would need to submit all the necessary documentation before we would even consider accepting them into the program. We do this to ensure that they are qualified both academically and professionally.
Once the applicant submits all their documents, a committee of staff members from each department reviews their file to determine their suitability for the selected program.
If they are accepted, we send them a congratulatory e-mail and formal offer letter. Then, if they decide to join our program, we register them into their modules and send them all the information they need to know to prepare to start school (e.g. schedule, travel information, contact information, etc.) for their start date.
My school is a small institution, when the student is accepted the first step is to fill the enrollment agreement.
Using a checklist, I go over each section making sure the student understands the schedule, the program duration. Method of payment. Refund policy. Graduation requirements, etc.
This document together with copies of the required student documentation goes to the student's personal record.
The student then receives copies of all the paperwork.
Herline,
It is still nice getting something wonderful in the mail.
Patty Aronoff
Herline,
It sounds like your school puts forth a strong effort in preparing the student for a successful start.

After the final review, we send a welcome letter or acceptance letter to the student with instructions how to login to our system and schedule for class.
In our facility the first step is to schedule a one on one meeting with the student to gather all required informations and answer all questions that the student may have. we proceed with the entrance application, and we go over everything that will be provided by the school in the start up package. And we schedule an Orientation date for the student. Orientation is a four hours class, we discuss the rules and policies of the school, everything that has to do with refund, withdrawn, absesnces, attendance and state exam are covered. Student meet with staff members, get a tour of the whole school and signed all the final documents for final review.
Robinson,
Excellent! Everyone should be proud of what they do and take the time to make sure compliance is number one priority.
Patty Aronoff
Just to piggy-back, we do DOA seconds on all interviews regardless if they enroll or not. We want to ensure that all prospects are provided with accurate and information that we are ALWAYS in compliance.
milay,
Excellent posting! You have given us an indepth look into your admissions process.
Patty Aronoff
Autumn,
Thank you for sharing your process. The legal history is an important aspect in that if they have a background that prevents them from being certified they need to know that at the beginning.
Patty Aronoff
Selimah,
Interesting! Entrance exams are important indicators for enrollment.
Patty Aronoff
Jennifer,
When we push students in a problem they are unsure of or do not want, we are not helping anyone. Nothing worse than saying they hate the sight of blood and they sign up for medical assistant and have to do blood draws.
Patty Aronoff
Betsy,
Thank you for sharing your process. Continued contact is important.
