Montrez,
Do you have follow-ups once the documents are complete?
Patty Aronoff
Matiely,
What happens if the Director questions the right fit? Is the student called in for another interview?
Patty Aronoff
Jessica,
Finding the right fit should be for both parties in order to secure an enrollment that will last.
Patty Aronoff
Juan,
Excellent! The catalog is a key document in the enrollment process and time should be well spent.
Patty Aronoff
this process is similiar to the process at my campus. The prospective student comes in for an interview to gather facts about the program of interest, the school and also a campus tour. Once the interview process is complete and the student has made a decision that our school is indeed their best choice, we start the enrollment process and complete all required documents such as the enrollment agreement and other forms which are required. We then compile them into a file which is then given to the educational department.
Jose,
Second interviews are becoming more and more integrated into the enrollment process. Whether it is with admissions, education, or career services, the second interview provides valuable insight into the prospective student.
Patty Aronoff
Stephen,
Excellent process! These are steps to a solid enrollment with continued involvement.
Patty Aronoff
Yasmin,
You are developing a commitment from the student and the process is thorough.
Patty Aronoff
Ailyn ,
Excellent! Your process is thorough and involved.
Patty Aronoff
Carla,
The last is the key. I have found that with commitment in place, there is little to stop them from success.

Our process for enrollment is as follows:
Student is interviewed by the Admissions Representative and is followed up to see if the student in interested in enrolling and is the right for that particular program.
The student then completes a background check and drug test if required for that specific program along with provided the admissions representative their ID and High School Diploma.
Once there file is complete they interview with the director of the specific program they are applying for and that Director has the discretion along with all the supporting documents to see if the student is the right fit for that particular program.
Once, these steps are complete and their academic file the student is successfully enrolled and the file is then transferred to the Education Department.
First, I do an interview and tour with the student and go over the course details, such as what classes, job placement rates, graduation rates, etc. to be sure its a good fit for the student, if the student decides it is and would like to move forward, I have them:
1. Fill out an application and submit an application fee.
2. Make a copy of their drivers license and SS card and high school diploma or GED and transcripts and be sure it is from an accreditated body.
3. Go over the enrollment agreement and cancellation and refund policy.
4. Have them sign a form agreeing they had a tour of the campus and received a school catalog.
5. Complete a FERPA and emergency contact form
6. Introduce them to financial aid and then financial aid assist from there.
We are a small school the complete process of enrollment could take 2 hours (average) but it depends on candidate profile and his/her requirements and questions. All our process are based on both completing enrollment agreement, catalog explanation, school tour and comply with rules and regulations. These module was great for refreshing and reviewing our internal enrollment procedures.
A standard operating procedure to follow by department, by campus. After a prospective student decides that our school is the one they want to attend with their program choice, the admissions rep then determines if indeed the prospect is commited and review the policies again prior continuing their enrollment process. For some programs we do request an additonal interview with the Director of the Program for acceptance. Once a prospect is accepted they will then fill out all their required paperwork (in compliance with regulations for the acadmeic file)along with an Enrollment Agreement. We start an acadmeic file in the admissions department and then it is send to the Education Department.
Application Process:
• Submit your completed application and $50 processing fee by the applicant due date. We recommend you send your application via registered or certified mail.
• Official transcripts from all previous colleges and universities are required and must be submitted to the University directly from the issuing institution.
• Include any materials that may strengthen your application, explain weaknesses, or address other special considerations.
• Once your application has been received, it is reviewed by the Student Services Office staff. You will be notified via email about the status of your application. Please note that if any required documentation is missing, processing of your application may be delayed.
• Following the review, selected qualified applicants are invited to attend an on-campus, personal interview. During the interview visit, a short written essay and other tests may be administered.
• Following the interview applicants are notified of their acceptance, provided a catalog, student handbook and enrollment agreement that must be returned within 30 days with a $500 tuition deposit.
In our school, once the student completes all the necessary requirements to be accepted into any particular program we start the enrollment process by setting an appointment. In some programs such as Nursing, the student must meet with the Director of Nursing for the final acceptance. Student must wear professional atire to this interview. After that, we proceed to do enrollment. We explain to student in detail each and every form they sign.
I make sure the file is completed before I give it to my supervisor.
Enrollment Process Step by Step.
1.Interview student to make sure that he/she is indeed the best candidate for their program of choice. Tour given and all student services explained.
2.Explain all Admissions Requirements needed to enroll in their program of interest.
3.Follow-up, if needed, then start gathering Admissions requirements. i.e. picture id, valid High school diploma or GED, entrance test (if required), etc.
4. Admissions Rep. will expalin all forms of enrollment and Catalog/Addenda provide. FA appt set for package day
5.Orientation day
After verifyng all the paper work, goes to FA and them Register. But we have 3 steps that I really like 3 steps before the student start
1. haves all the requirement
2. Package in FA
3. The commitment to start
Cecilia,
Very interesting having a second interview. You are keeping the level of interest and working to see if the program is the right fit.
Patty Aronoff
Alexandra,
Tours are an important part of the enrollment process. I agree that they need to observe and see if it is the right fit.
