When we have school and community events, we use facebook and twitter to promote and inform others on what our campus is doing. We can not only gain more public involvement but we can also create awareness.
Our school has it's own facebook page with the apply now link to our website!!
Our school uses Social Media in everything that we do. It has helped bring on new qualified leads that we would have never reached out to. It also gives us a chance to show the world what we do and what we are all about.
The fact that we can brand our page too makes it look professional. I reach out to my students and graduates by using Facebook, Twitter, and our alumni page we created on Facebook. It get s the message across way faster than snail mail or email blasting. EVERYONE checks their Facebook. I love it.
We utilize Facebook to share events, photos, upcoming news and any changes taking place within the school. I find that the students enjoy having a facebook page to refer to when telling friends, family about the school they are attending.
Jennifer,
Having a FB page takes time and effort. Not every school has the time or staff to maintain it.
Patty Aronoff
Matiely,
Yes, it is a wide communication tool. Referrals are a wonderful benefit.
Patty Aronoff
Juan,
Good thoughts on this very new subject! If it's on the web, the whole world can see.
Patty Aronoff
Jessica,
Taking a slow approach is sometimes the best way, especially as you are developing your brand.
Patty Aronoff
Daniela,
Exciting! Keep it current to bring your viewers back.
Patty Aronoff
April,
That's okay. Some institutions feel it is not in their best interest to participate.
Patty Aronoff
Alexander,
It is a challenge! You can quickly lose interest in your site if there is nothing new to view.
Patty Aronoff
Alejandra,
Excellent! Make sure the information is current and you will have numerous ways to connect with your students.
Patty Aronoff
Jose,
Cool! Who monitors the site and who can post?
Patty Aronoff
Yasmin,
Social media is a new avenue to keep communication lines open. Advertising on these sites is also a way to generate leads.
Patty Aronoff
Joseph,
Many people will check their social media sites many times during the day. It is becoming a useful tool in communication.
Patty Aronoff
Samantha,
Exciting! The sharing of photos is a cool idea as they tell quite a story. Do you get permission from the students prior to posting?
Patty Aronoff
We do nto use it and I think our campus needs to have a facebook page as many students aske about that!
I agree with the use of social media because it allows for our current students to share their pictures and activities along with graduation and this sparks interests in other to learn more about the school that the student attended. I think it is a great source for referrals.
Our colege group does not participate in social media.
We as a school have a web page... we publish general information about our programs. Our biggest concern to jump into social media is the great responsibility we must have at time of publishing official information of the institution. We are still studying this KEY aspect.
