We use it to self brand and to keep our students up to date about any events happening at the campus.
Our schools are post all the events and important news. you will aso find pictures of our students, graduations and activties.
We have an FB account as well as a site. Updating is very important, however, since we only offer one program, the content is cyclical. It's an added challenge to keep an FB site fresh.
we use facebook and instagram to post the events, special dates of the institution, such as graduations and more. YouTube has also been a good deal of social media to explain and show to the prospects the mission and vision of our institution, also to explain the programs and staff support.
Totally agree. Social media is a venue that serves to inform students and prospects of upcoming events and latest information.
We use social media to connect with our students and alumni. We publish start dates, events, industry news and we even have forums where we address topics related to student life. I think is a great way to connect with our students and get their feedback.
In my opinion, the use of social media at our institution is extremely important. It is a resource that keeps are active students engaged in school events and actities. It also brings a number of leads and referrals.
We just launch social media this year at our university. How do other schools maximize the referral capability of this media?
Also, it allows our students to interact with each other and anyone else on the social media site as they post pictures and comments related to their progress at school.
Our school uses facebook to generate conversation about what we have to offer, to announce start dates, share pictures, and congratulate graduates.
Alexandra,
It is! We have connected with people long lost from other communications.

Francesca,
For some, it is one of the key communication links for keeping information flowing.

we are a cosmetology school and we use social media for getting out information to our students, guests of the school, the general public and prospective students. we use it to post upcoming start dates, specials on the services on the clinic floor, dates we will be closed, upcoming events, congratulate students when they graduate, promote open houses, show off our students work and daily happenings. This helps build up the appointment for the clinic floor, boost enrollment, find referrals, and praise our students! greats means of communicate and exposure!
Janet,
Social media is changing our culture. We have been able to contact people we had thought long lost.

That is a good sample Janet, the student lost her phone and that was the only way of comunication, i really love the Social Media
Our school is also new to the social network media as it can relate to our school. The school director uses it as a means to notify current students of school emergency closures (as in the case of Sandy), as well as other reasons for communication. We recognize that not all students are as evolved as others. Recently we had communication with a student who had stopped coming and now indicated that she would like to return to school.
Patty,
Continue to view the thread for posts of connections from other schools. Upkeep and responsiveness is key in social media connectivity.
