The Resource Notebook

What information have you placed in your Resource Notebook? What have you discovered that you didn't know about the institution or the rules and regulations it must abide by?

I have not added anything.

I also agree, education, much like everything in life, is always evolving and changing.

I printed all of the rules/regs and admissions paperwork we utilize as instructed in the course. I've also met with the department heads over the past week to gather info and have a hard copy of our catalog. Luckily, everyone at the school is very willing to contribute to my training and give a lot of great information since this is my first time as an admissions rep coming from the social services field.

Just as in work referrals, when someone gives a name of a potential student, they know that the student is interested in continuing their education and would respond when an admission rep contacted them.

an electronic version would be very user friendly and available when one was off site.

A printed copy of the agents/admissions reps regulatory laws/rules so they can be referenced as needed, never need to guess.

All at risk students must go through a Dean's Review prior to college acceptance.

At risk is defined as, student's with GED or poor high school performance or done poorly in previous college coursework.

The Resource Notebook is very informative in regareds to the specific trainings and policies and procedures.

I think this is great suggestion. When I first started 9 years ago, this was suggested to me by my Director to do and I have udpated the info ever since. It is important to have info on new programs, new events, etc. handy for questions that may come up.

I have found that the resource notebook is very valuable. I have included the career colleges and schools definitions as well as the agents/admissions reps regulatory laws/rules.

I'm glad you mentioned the catalog. I think that it's important to add this to the resource notebook, so you can refer to it for specific information on the school.

I added the Agents/Admissions Reps Regulatory Laws/Rules and the Application for Agent's Permit to my Resource Notebook. I was unaware that agents have to renew theirpermits each year.

Hello:

I have placed the Agents/Admissions Reps Regulatory Law/Rules pamphlet in my Resource Notebook.

Something new I discovered that I did not previously know is that agent permits must be renewed annually. I like this and it does make sense, as our industry is constantly changing and new regulations are consistently put into place. This will ensure that agents know all about these new regulations and policies.

I have placed a college catalog in my notebook along with an enrollment agreement and a course catalog. I have learned a lot about the institution in the disclosures section. There was interesting information regarding graduation and placement rates.

I've found by printing out the resource materials and using highlighters to color-code key points and important areas of information allows me to look over policies and refresh myself at a glance. This is invaluable when I have a small sticking point or regulation I need to clarify.

I have placed in my Resource Notebook :
- maketing materials
-enrollment agreement
-organization Chart

I just came to understand what the resource book consisted of and I think that all the information is needed.

The Resource Notebook is a valuable tool for not only rules and regulations, but to get an overview of how our Admissions Department operates. I feel it is extremely important to be transparent and ready at all times to discuss our Admissions practices, organizational chart, and catalog policies. It is in the best interest of our students, staff, and institution.

In my Resource Notebook, I have placed paperwork outlining the Agents/Admissions Reps Regulatory Laws/ Rules. I wasn't aware that agents permits must be renewed annually.

So far I have placed the Agents/Admissions reps regulatory laws/rules into my notebook. I discovered that that employees who are not agents can work on behalf of Admissions without securing a permit.
