I have put in all the information I printed today. I scored 100% but I still learned some very good info concerning advertising, graduation and info concerning enrollment agreements.
I have my college catalog and the Consumer Right to Know statistics. I had no idea that all schools who recruit in the state of Ohio must have a permit. I thought it was only schools based in Ohio.
I have placed nothing in the book yet. However, I am gettting the laws, rules Statutes and regulations, terms, certifications, etc. I have learned how impactful the rules are to each one of the individual inside the institution.
Information in my Resource Notebook include the laws, rules, and statutes as well as information about the school including the catalog, policies and procedures, and accreditation information. I am very familiar with the information in the Notebook but I did learn that the agents must reapply for the permit every year.
My Resource Notebook is just in the early stages of development. I'm looking forward to seeing our course catalog and documents that the student needs to complete in order to enroll in school.
Our resource handbook includes the college catalogue, student handbook, state and federal rules that apply to our two-year college. Having left a Seminary in Tennessee, I am familiarizing myself the rules and regulations of Ohio.
The following information is currently in my Resource Notebook: blank application and all its components, school catalog, school address and contact information and admission manual.
This is my fist time working as an admission coordinator, and I am learning that there are very careful steps that need to be followed to complete the admission process. Given I try and make daily contact with prospective students, the information that is readily available in my Resource Notebook is being committed to memory. This is so important as one wrong word or statement can cause a web of problems.
I have discovered how great of a tool the notebook can be for an agent, it is something agents can revert back to if unsure about a particular situation. I discovered that being an Agent the duties are always the same regardless if on or off campus.
Having a Resource Notebook has been a helpful tool in order to keep track of important information. I keep it organized so I can reference back to information such as school policy's, school catalog, Ohio rules and regulations, compliance and FAQ guideline, and detailed information on our school programs. Along with lots of other information and resources.
Keeping track of this information has been very beneficial in my learning process. I have discovered that rules and regulations can differ by state so it is important to know Ohio Laws and regulations and what it must abide by. Having a resource notebook to reference back to helps me build a better understanding of this institution.
I've got our catalog, Student Handbook,Ohio rep laws, enrollment agreement, advertising materials, facts about our school, and I've also got a section full of resources for my students including daycare, free clothing, bus stop map and fee schedule, GED testing sites, and lots more. I feel like the resource notebook was a great idea and I imagine I'll use it everyday. Thanks. Does anyone have any other suggestions of things a new rep should have in this notebook?
I have brochures for specific programs along with FAQ's about compliance questions. I have also included a chart that is specific to my campus and the organization as a whole. There are also sheets containing additional facts about the school and some materials that are used for marketing purposed.
I was not aware that if I work in another state but recruit Ohio students that we must be Ohio certified as well.
Thus far my Resource Notebook includes the Agents/Admissions Reps Regulatory Laws/Rules from the training, as well as the course catalog, adendum and disclosure from my school. Additionally, I have a list of contacts within my four walls to reach out to for additional information. I have saved the Ohio Board's website to my favorites.
I have discovered that not only the institution, but also the program itself must be approved before offering it on campus.
I found that I wasn't as knowledgeable as I though about certain facets of my school, such as marketing plans and organization charts. Making this part of my resource book and talking with my associates really increased my understanding of my role, as well as that of my colleagues.
I have the regulatory laws and rules as well as the ethical code of conduct in my Resource Notebook. I didn't know that agents couldn't initiate contact with students already enrolled at another school in an attempt to have them enroll at their school.
I have begun to collect policies and procedures for different departments, as well as all of the forms most often used in the admissions process. As a result of this exercise, I have a better appreciation for the team concept, as it becomes more evident that the departments are,in so many ways, interdependent.
Sarah,
CM202 training is required to be taken one time. When your permit is renewed next year, you will be required to take a different training called CM305.

I have placed all the material regarding the rules and regulations and laws that would be required for an individual in admissions. I was not aware the course only had to be completed one time, I was under the impression that this was a test that had contineous information and is updated and required by the admissions represenative to take the exam annually.
I copoed and pasted the overview, terms and definitions, and agent regulations/laws/rules. I find I learn best by viewing online, and later reading the information again, so I copy a great deal of information.
I was not surprised too much by the information on the rules, as I had studied up on that before making this career choice.
I have the terms, definitinos, and laws in my notebook. I also Printed results from 1st quiz.
In my resource notebook, I placed the regulations, a student catalog, an organizational flow chart of employees, and a Nursing guide for potential students. I learned the GPA requirements for each of our programs.
