I have placed the print out of the rulles and regulations as well as a flow chart for my school including the director of admissions, fincancial aid and the person who tracks employment of our student.
I learned that if an agent is working for multiple schools owned by one entity they only need one permit but if the schools are not owed by the same party the agent must get multiple permits.
I have placed the school catalog, school enrollment agreement, marketing plans, policies and procedures, and institutional accreditation and approvals into my Resource Notebook. I need to gather more of the current marketing materials, and also an organizational chart to add to the Notebook.
I was unaware that the Agent would have to be renewed each year. In addition, I was unaware that outside sources would have to approved by the Board, i.e. if the school was to attend a trade show and hire an outside source to man the table, it is my understanding that the persons would have to be approved by the Board in order to do so. Is that correct interpretation of the rule?
I have so much information in there, lots of rules and regulations, the handbook, some tips and tricks from my co-workers, and a lot of my resources that I have used in my training so I can refer back to them.
Being new in position, I find that all pertinent information necessary to perform the functions of my position are in one centralized location. My resource notebook streamlines, simplifies and organized both my thoughs and direction. It also provides the necessary space for updates critical to compliance mandates. Couldn't do without it.
I am including all types of inforamtion in my Resource Notebook. Items from Job Aids on setting appointment do's and don'ts to local daycare center information. I plan to use the Notebook for not only learning personally but as a way of having information at my fingertips rather than hacing to get online to access it.
I have placed the Renewal Information in my Resource Notebook. I was unaware that it changed frequently and that it is vitally important to keep it up to date in order to keep yourself up to date with the information.
I have started my Resource Notebook with the Rep Regulatory Laws/Rules. The suggestions in this training have been phenomenal, and I will include much of what is discussed in here. I found the information provided organized and very helpful.
In my notebook I have all marketing pamphlets, financial information per course, class start dates and dates and times of all classes, academic requirements for all classes, externship requirements, and a copy of all admission paperwork.
Having been in higher education for 12 years, I received a good reminder of important policies and regulations required by the State of Ohio, and new policies that have been recently added.
I have placed the Agents/Admissions Reps Regulatory Laws/Rules in my Resource Notebook. I am kind of familiar with a lot of the rules. I think the only thing I didn't know was that an agent works for more than one school, they must obtain a seperate permit for each school represented.
I have placed a School catalog in my notebook and have ensured it contains the most current addendums to the catalog. In reviewing the catalog I have discovered that there are many rules and regulations that must be complied with in order for the school to meet compliance and keep its acredidation. The catalog has disclosure information concerning cost of courses, employment outlook for different programs and career placement standards for each course, as an example. This data is amazing to review and can sometimes be eye opening to the standards maintained by an institution.
So far in my resource notebook I have the
-Admissions Reps Regulatory Laws/Rules
-Student enrollment policies and practices
-tuition and fees
-Refunds for books, fees, and supplies
I was surprised to find how particular and specific our proceedure for tuition and fees were- especially when it comes to how and when we collect.
Thus far I've added the Agents/ Admissions Reps Regulatory Laws/ Rules printout as well as the list of all the school-specific documents I need to add (catalogue, enrollment agreement, marketing plan, policies and procedures, organizational chart as well as accredidations/ approvals). I learned a good deal about the structure of the corporation from the organizational chart.
I agree. It is very important to continue to check updates every month on renewal information so that the advisor is being compliant.
I have placed the School Catalog, School enrollment agreement, marketing plans, policies and procedures and an organizational chart in my resource notebook. I wasnt familiar with the history of the school before I started but I was updated once I started.
All of our data received from the course. Will be separated by headings, for easy access and quick reference.
To name a few, I have placed the Ohio Rules and Regulations for Admissions Agents, Student enrollment policies and practices, and school enrollment requirements. I have discovered that I didn't know that placement and graduation rates must be4 clearly revealed by program prior to a students enrollment in school.
One of the things that stood out to be was the difference between a representative and a counselor. I personally thought it was very similar seeing that admissions work so closely with the prospective students and that we are the first faces they see. We play a huge role in guiding them down the path of their future. Being viewed as a admissions counselor seems fitting in more ways than one.
The laws surrounding the agent's licensing.
I have discovered that the state training gets done only once.
I have printed the Regulatory Laws and Rules to put into my notebook. I also put the school catalog as well as a copy of the enrollment agreement and school addendum. What I learned was that an agent cannot work for a school and an outside non-school employment agency.
