Based on the knowledge that I have there are new training initiatives for new and current reps to review periodically to stay up-to-date and compliant; I am currently reviewing some of that information while training.
Training initiatives have been implemented on a regular bases to ensure that we as representatives are up to date on the most recent FA and Admissions information needed to effectively do our jobs.
My school absolutely does have training initiatives to discuss the new federal rules. We have to make sure that we get certified on all of the new rules and regulations that have been put in place.
The school that I work for went through a major overhaul in regards to compensation for it's employees to the information we present to student(s) and the disclosures that we must give to the student at the begining of every inhome.
While the changes were well intended, I fear that that the changes inposed on our industry have created a socialistic enviroment where real performance is hard to measure and employees struggle to stay motivated in an othat offers no reward for excellence or overachieving.
I believe the rules implemented benefit the prospective student with access to more information but question the nescessity behind some of the disclosures.
I also believe that the student should have all the information prior to making a decision.

My school has done the same thing. It is information that all students and families should know. If you are proud of your school and the results of a young person that attended your school you should encourage all your students and families to visit your web page and find out for themselves. I even take it to the next level and go to the webpage with them in there home and show them! I am very proud of the success of my school and it gives me a chance to show it off!!
The school I work for has added these items to our website as well. I think it is important to have this information readily available to all prospective students as well as their families who may be financially responsible for said student. Having this information available and easily accessible can definitely impact whether or not a student decides to attend your institution.
I agree that the potential student should know the entire tuition cost up front...and that our Student Finance Representatives can walk them through the detailed break-down prior to starting courses.
My school has implemented new training regarding the policy changes. I beleive it is necessary to follow all rules from the U.S. Department Education
We are a private, for-profit school. Our campus leadership regularly updates us on any state, federal, or internal rules that affect our operations. I work strongly in career services. As such, the entire campus including faculty are even informed of the services and information we are required to provide to our students due to federal guidelines.

I am currently in the new hire training at my school and a lot of our course is going over the new rules in detail. It is nice to obtain so much information about something that will be very important in my job.

Yes, we have continuous training every week or so to discuss and update our team so that we are always current.
Yes my school has taken the steps to be compliant with all of the new laws. The way admissions advisors are allowed to get students is very different. Many schools are now using scripts for admissions to ensure that the information given to students is consistent. I like the new format and it feels like the right thing to do for the students.
Being new to this process I am learning alot. These new rules and disclosures have been added to all litature that is printed and i have been making sure taht I learn them as I am trained.
