The school I work for has added additional paperwork to our enrollment process that requires the students to verify bullet points that we are following the new guidelines.
Our school has met several times over the past three months to go over the new rules and regulations. All staff are aware of the changes.
Our school has added full disclosure of all programs on our website. Admissions has ongoing training on compliance and disclosure to ensure we are compliant. All marketing materials and our catalog are in compliance as well.
Our school has made changes to the catalog, website, advertising and promotional materials as well as conducting upper management meetings regarding all the new rules and regulations to ensure that the school is compliant. Webinars, concerning compliance have also been scheduled.
Yes, training is an on-going initiative for our organization. Since the new DOE ruling and even before our company has been moving forward to ensure that staff remains in compliance.
The re-enter side has really had the most changes to implement with the new guidelines, but as an admission staff we feel our student body will only become stronger, our reputation as a school better, and our staff more diligent for finding the right students.
Our school has posted tuition costs, placement rates and retention rates on the website. It makes it nice for the students to look at our website before they come in for a career planning session.
The school that I work for has added stickers to every piece of information that we discuss with a student. That sticker provides the website in which students and prospective students can obtain information. We have also included a seperate sheet with links that provide graduation rates and placement rates compared to other schools in the area.
Similar to this representative and their school system, we have also got in a habit of brining in "experts" on the issue when we in Admissions do not know all the answers such as quesions about curriculum, FA, and Career Services.
Yes. Fortis College is amazing with their training and development, preparing us (agents) for any new changes to enrollment practices. Coming from Kaplan University, Fortis is light years ahead of compliance training and keeping it's staff fully aware of policy, procecure and compliance updates. I honestly feel I am consistantly in the loop here.
When talking to a prospective student, we try to direct Fin'l Aid questions to Fin'l Add rep and have one come in room to discuss with client on Fin'l Aid and answer their questions, as I am not a expert and don't want to mislead students on fin'l aid questions.
Yes, I'm involved with an instituion that has weekly meetings too, which seem to go over and clarify policies, procedures, ethical considerations, on an on-going basis. From what I understand, the school immediately implemented many changes and immediately developed new training efforts to keep Admin. Representatives current and up to date on all new regulations as well as providing extensive front-end training and on-going training and supervision. Excited to be a part of it.
I am so excited and have always liked my position but now I can say I love being an admissions rep. It is now a requirement to have a knowledge test that we have on a quarterly absis. Another requirement is I have to complete at least 1 bour in each classroom..perferably a lab. With all of my new product knowledge I am so confident that I am placing prospective students in the right program. This new admissions world is so exciting...GO EVEREST!
Our school has done the same to our web site. There are total costs of programs, retention rates. graduations rates, etc.
Yes! Our school/program has been made aware of these recent changes.
Yes, I am aware thank you
Not really. I am quite worried that some of these new laws are going to cost a lot of people their jobs. The fact that unemployment is up so high it doesn't make much sense as to why the government would want to take even more jobs away. I guess that's why they make the big bucks (from lobbyists).
I, like many others, have just started with the admissions department at my particular institution. The trainning process is very clear about the policies, making it very clear the "do's and don'ts" of these changes.
we were informed via our staff and our website also includes the new rules and regulations
