Yes, our school has instituted changes. We provide all prospective students whom with an admissions appointment is conducted a copy of our graduate employment disclosures, on time completion rate information, and median loan debt information.
Yes our school has started the policy of including a link/website for prospective students to look up information that they maybe interested in. It's helpful because it allows them to look over the information at their leisure.
My School changed for the better after the new laws. I could see more benefit for the students and prospective students once the change took place.
Yes, my school has added new training initiatives to discuss the new federal rules. One of the tools that we have as enrollment representatives is the cost is now on our website. The prosepctive student now has the opportunity to explore the cost and manage their financial obligation better. In the past students would hear the cost from the rep in which we would discuss the break down and how financial aid works.
Our website has a direct link to the full disclosure information at the bottom of every program's page. We direct potential students to our website for this information as well as print out the disclosure an give the prospective student a copy when they come in.
It is so important to stay in compliance these days. With so many false promises made by former recruiters, the last thing I or anyone else should want is to make a mistake and lose their position.
The college I work for used to offer the tuition per academic year. Since July 1st we have our tuition listed per credit hour.
I find it important that all rules and regulations continue to change due to the issues and challenges that arrive and yes I found that there has been changes no within our enrollment process
I'm a new rep but I come into the position with some knowledge concerning admissions as I have worked hand in hand with another Admission Rep at another "for profit" school. Under the old regime/law - I believe she was paid a bonus for every student enrolled that went on to graduate. Not for sure of the exact amount, however, I believe it was a substancial amount. Having said that, I believe that a bonus is a bonus and something that shouldn't be used as an incentive to perform your regular job duties. Nice to have but definitely not a requirement.
I feel it's very beneficial for the student to see upfront what they're getting into before making a sound decision to pursue further education. It's a huge committment, which allows the student to be better prepared before attending the school for an initial consultation.
It seems as though we have online training as well as individualized training.
i have just started working for CCI and i am still learning all of the policies.
Yes, we have discussed the new federal rules and how they affect our students.
To allow the students and admissions to be up to date on the current costs.
It is great that we are provided with updated rules to follow.
As a new hire, my school has focused a great deal of my training on the U.S. Department of Education's rules. The importance of staying in compliance with all State, Federal and accrediting standards has been emphasized.
These rules have impacted mainly our transparency through our website. Adding statistics and calculators to better educate a potential student on every aspect of our programs.
I also like the sticker idea! We don't discuss or compare our programs to other schools either. The schools typically speak for themselves.
My school has quick links on the website home page that show both important consumer information and federal disclosure on our programs of study. It is a great way to provide important information to interested prospects.
I agree with the new changes as of July 1, 2011. The new changes will really allow students to be aware of how financial aid and holding students accountable.
