It has built up the reputation of the school and has been noticed by other higher education facilites
Accreditation allows prospective students to feel confident about the quality of education that they will receive. It definitely gives a school a competitive edge over other schools that have lost or never had accreditation.
Accreditation will keep us to the higher standard in our operations. Students and their parents will often ask if we are accreditted and it does put their mind at ease when they are told we are.
Being accredited adds credibility to our school to prospective students and potential employers. Therefore it is an advantage in helping the school with enrollment and keeping placement rates high for our graduates.
Many students want to enroll here being accredited vs. a school not accredited. They are seeking schools accredited.
I think that the upward change from National accreditation to Regional accreditation has improved the way than many prospective students view our university. It has also allowed us to begin working on a post secondary option with many local schools. This will help boost our enrollment in the area of high school admissions. I understand that accreditation is not necessary, but I believe it is very important in solidifying the quality of the education that a college provides.
Accredited institutions of higher education have higher integrity and there is a higher standard that they meet,
We hold ourselves to the highest standards, too. And feel that when you do what is best for the student, the word gets out. Many employers prefer an accredited program.
Acceptance of students that attended an accredited program is te prerogative of the employer but prospective employers take that into consideration. After all, getting a good career is what the education is about. The accreditation in an asset to your resume and could have an effect on you getting hired
Many employers require thier employees to graduate from an accredited institute.
Qualification of federal financial aid for students to help them better afford their education
The Accreditation gives the school a reliable trust. An incoming student has the comfort of knowing & understanding that there are checks & balances in having the accreditation. The schools have regulations & requirements to uphold to keeping and substaining the accreditation.
Being nationally accredited, seems to impress students..
It lets prospective students know that our programs are being evaluated and monitored by a national or regional accrediting body. This gives students comfort that our programs are going to provide them with the education and skills needed to prepare them to become licensed and hopefully gainfully employed.
Our students are able to transfer our credits to schools that we have affiliation agreements creating a smoother transfer process.
I have found that most of the individuals that ask about accreditation have only done so because, "someone told them that they should ask." Discussing accredition is an opportunity to explain what purposes it serves and what purposes it does not serve. Although accreditation does provide a welcome seal of approval on the school as well as means of more readily (not guaranteed) transfer credits, the public perception of the value of accreditation is, in my opinion, the greatest benefit.
Increases our marketability and reputation as a school. As our students are aware accredidation may be required by prospective employers as well as to take particular cerfitications after completing the programs.
Our prospective students that call or come in ask specifically about accredidation. The prospective students feel they will be recieving the most up to date education as well potential employers may require this and some areas require a particular accredidation to take certification testing.
I don't think I see this mentioned yet, but I believe one of the benefits of being accredited is the training WE receive. Our accrediting body helps us stay on top of new and/or upcoming regulations. It also gives us a support system to confirm our understanding of any changes.
Being accreditited adds value for the student. Students want to attend a school who has achieved recognition for meeting criteria. They want a school who meets the standards of an accrediting body. Prospects usually ask about accreditation.
