Accreditation benefits a school most because it constantly reminds us to do the right thing. By doing the right thing, not only do the current students and graduates benefit, but the school also benefits when they tell their friends and family members how honest and helpful everyone around the campus is. Positive word of mouth helps stimulate referrals, which can be the biggest contribution to keep a school thriving.

I believe word of mouth and the results obtained by our graduates speak volumes. Without proper accreditation that would not be possible.

Our school provides us with updated information regarding graduation rates, financial aid, job placement and course requirements. We receive training and in addition a workbook that we can take with us to help in, not only making sure we give the right answers, but have a resource to answer questions we might not know answers to.

Being accredited has allowed us to have an articulation agreement with another college in the area. This benefits our students that have the desire to pursue further education after having finished their Associates degrees here. This neighboring institution will accept our students' credits in full towards the completion of a Bachelor's Degree. This is an additional advantage of being accredited.

Our institution has found many benefits for carrying both institutional and programmatic accreditation. Accreditation ensures our students that they receive a quality education and also will allow them to look into Title IV funding.
The institution also receives many leads from students researching schools that have specific programmatic accreditation that is necessary in their field.

Most of our students are conscious about accreditation due to getting a higher degree such as a B.S or M.S to pursue there careers.

The advantages is that it gives the student a peace of mind that they're attending a good college that is accredited.

Troy,

Please keep in mind that be accredited does not guarantee that your school's credits will transfer.

I too deal with a lot of indivduals calling in asking if we are accredited and I can assure them that we are. I have met with students that have attended other institutions that were not accredited and they had a difficult time finding employment within their field, thus they are very excited upon hearing that we are accredited.

It has allowed for transferability of credits for student who wish to pursue a bachelors degree. It leaves them with options of entering work force upon graduation, furthering education or both.

We have found that accreditations lend credibility to our institution and programs. This third-party oversight helps build confidence with the prospect concerning not only the educational experience with our school but the career services aspect as well. We encourage propects to research the accreditation bodies to better understand what accreditation means and how it benefits our students and graduates.

We've found that students are now able to work with other institutions on transferring credits more seemlessly.

Prospective students find a sense of security when they hear that an institution is accredited.
Also, employers that provide tuition reimbursement expect accreditation.

I very much agree. Employers in our area have recognized our school as being accredited. Credibility with our students and the public is very important.

I do realize that, however it is an important factor when students are looking into our program that we are certified. If they are looking into continuing their education they must at least have received that certification.

I have found that students are more comfortable enrolling at an institution that is accredited. It gives them peace of mind that it is a school that takes the extra steps to ensure they will have a quality education. I find that students also feel that attending a school that is accredited will cover the possibilities of being employed by a company who may only want to employ those that come from an accredited school.

Accreditation ensures a basic level of quality in the eduation you receive from an institution. It is the job of an accreditation organization to review us and other institutions of higher eduation to guarantee quality and improvement efforts.

We have many students that ask if our institution is accredited because they have known someone or have been burned by schools that are not accredited. It also allows our students to know that we adhere to a set of regulations and there is someone governing what we do.

I deal mostly with high school seniors in my role with the career college I work for. These young adults, for the most part, have no idea what accreditation is all about.

When I speak about accreditation, I think what impresses most students is the fact that they know they are not dealing with some fly-by-night, seat-of-the-pants school that pretty much answers to no one but themseleves.

Credibility is so important and accreditation goes a long way is providing that.

The Majority of students that inquire about our program are very interested in accreditation. For our students specifically, accreditation is an important piece of the school they choose. Accreditaion is also important to employers who hire our graduates, thus it is important to us.
