Our campus also has CampusVue and it is a great source for data input. The DNC message is in this location and is extremely useful, especially when the phone numbers are listed here and then the DNC message is also here. This avoids us to call anybody that does not want a call.
I have recently been promoted and based on my experience, i have seen in each student records that it indicates wh we cannot call by stating DNC. When we look up a students record, a message DNC is prompted.
While I do not personally conact prospective students, I have talked with the staff who does andthey have assured me that we follow the DNC regulations and use the system to update DNC requests.
It is indicated in Campus View in the student master screen
I have to let the director of admissions know that they do not want to be contact anymore.
Delaine - I appreciate your sense of uregncy and timeliness of handling these requests.
Ann - it's good to know you have a process to handle requests for DNC in addition to what is handled with the National directory.
By putting notes on CV that this student is on DNCR.
By putting notes in campus vue.
Our campus utilizes Campus View in order to track the DNC's.
Students that request not to be contacted will be marked as DNC and phone number and email will be removed from our system
We use the Campus View software. DNC is noted in the file. At this campus we also send out an email to our director as soon as their is a request for do not call.
If someone tell me that they DO NOT WANT TO BE CALL. I would notify my DOA via e-mail and she would have the information done.
Once we are aware of a person that Does not want us to call I e-mail my Director of Admissions and notify the front desk.
We handle our DNC as being serious. By this I mean that we address them right away by logging them into the system we use. This way it can be veiwed by all , which reasures that we are all on the same page.
We post on the DNC list, and do not contact them any further.
It is true that in the Financial Aid dept we don't really get to hear that much since most of the calls that we get or that we make are to students or prospective students who want to get information but surely at our campus we do use the DNC code in campus vue for those that do not wish to be contacted.
Once a person expresses they are not interested, they are immediatley removed. The number is changed to DNC, the rep is aware of the request, and it is documented in the sytem.
The campuses software does track the DNC.
Referral leads could potentially be a problem.
We simply mark the prospective student as DND in the system.
