We use CampusVue to monitor students who are on the do-not-call list.
I am not sure if everyone is from the same Corporation or not, but I am impressed, Campus Vue seems to be the most popular data base system used.
We also use Campus Vue. This system works well as it easily identifies those current or former students who wish not to be called.
I agree - the easier it is to immediately see a reference to DNC and/or having the number blocked reduces risk of accidental calls to those protected by this regulation.
As a relatively new program director I appreciate how CVUE makes the DNC obvious so that I do not make an error and call. I have also had a student who was not successful due to poor academic progression. I was told by his aunt to stop calling. I immediately reported it to the dean so we can remove that number.
Yes ythis ia great location and easy access for our staff to indentfy the do not call indivduals
By keeping a log and putting a note in campus vue
The DNC list is reviewed on a regular basis and prospective students on the list are marked as "do not call" which can be easily viewed in our CampusVue system. This system helps keep all who can access it on the same page.
Timothy - unfortunately, it seems that the deeper I dig into regulations, the more I find. I think one of the biggest challenges ahead for schools, especially those providing education in multiple states, will be keeping up-to-date on each of the differing state regulations and trying to align those with relevant federal regulations. I suspect more states will expand their scope of oversight which creates a lot of administrative burden for schools to maintain. Distance education providers will be most impacted as they typically offer education in many states.
Yes, we track in campus vue
We utilize a master student list from Campus that indicates the DNC numbers.
Our student database has a Do-not-call selection that is activated when students request they not be called. This function deletes the number, and puts in its place the words Do-Not-Call.
Our school tracks which students are or are not allowed to be called based on the Do-Not-Call regulations in our network database. The Do-Not-Call students phone number isn't visible, thus eliminating the mistake to happen of a call being made. Obviously, the phone numbers for the students who are able to be called are visible.
This is where the rubber meets the compliance road. Prior to taking this module I was unaware of the existence of state based "DNC" lists so not surprisingly, I was unaware that we were not enforcing the PA DNC list. Further the nature and extent of restrictions on the PA DNC list differ somewhat from the federal regulation so we will have some implementation challenges. The good news is that we have been very responsive to individual requests and complaints so there have been no PA complaints logged against the company. We will also verify our compliance with any and all other states we call.
For clarity sake, the federal list is downloaded to Campus Vue on a monthly basis. Phone numbers are masked in Campus based on a weekly scrub of all numbers against that list. Some numbers that were previously subject to the 90 day exclusion will have aged in the period of a week so that they are no longer exempt from the reg,and of course we may have received numbers via referral etc, that are subject to the reg despite being a new inqyiry. As stated in an earlier comment, phone numbers associated with new inquiries from a prospect that had appeared on the DNC list will be unmasked upon input of the new inquiry.
You can find this information in Campus - Student Master.
Students who make the request are immediately marked in our CampusVue management system as DO NOT CALL. These students phone numbers are no longer visible to users on the main screen and they are also color coded - all indicators that make the DNC classification very evident.
the students are tracked in Campus. There is a notation with the studetns information not to call.
Jenna - I am glad to see awareness of how this is tracked even by individuals not involved in contacting students for admissions purposes.
Campus Vue blocks the number
We use campusVue to indicate if someone is on the do not call list.
