Knowing the learning styles of the your students better assist you with how you will approach delivery of course material. It also helps you to better connect with the students and assist with engaging the students in learning.
Knowing the learning styles of my students means that I can deliver a lecture that the students will grasp. It is very important to vary the way you deliver the material to meet all student requirements.
When we know the learning styles of the students we can selected an accurate way for delivering the material which is going to be more useful and interesting for them

As a new instuctor, I've had to learn how to teach. Knowing the learning styles of all my students help me to provide better material content in diffent learning styles to my students in away that reaches as many learning styles as possible which benefits my program greatly and helps me to be a more effective instructor. Games,Lab time, Power points Picture cares and lectures are all ways of reaching my students. This forum helped me with so problem areas I was having. Thanks!
Knowing the learning styles of your students help you deliver the material you are teaching in a more meaningful way. If you are able to deliver what you are teaching in such a way, your students will be able to comprehend and retain the knowledge, thus making you a more effective instructor.

At the beginning of each Term, I ask the newly enrolled students to complete the Learning Styles assessment. I ask them to print 2 copies of the results (one for me, and the other to keep as a reference). This assessment allows them the chance to see and understand their own styles how they intake information. Often they are surprised of the results, and feel the results explain a lot about their past educational experiences.

It is important to know the learning styles of my students so that I can plan my lesson plans to meet the majority of of their learning style needs.
In my classes, it is easier to present the material to the visual and kinesthetic learners. Using the written and auditory styles is also doable but more of a challenge since I am a visual learner. Being aware of different learning style preferences gives me a much better chance of getting the material across to my students.
Students understand, thus retain the information about the topic when asked if they comprehend the information. Our technical school offers the 4 learning styles through demonstration, powerpoint and white board lectures, and handouts/reading assignments.
Much more attention needs to be offered in asking the students what they prefer on the first day of class when the "get to know you" section of the lecture is brought up.
The pace is quick, with a fair amount students must grasp, so targeting the information to their learning aids in retention in both attendance and testing.

By knowing their different learning styles, you can learn as an instructor the best teaching methods for your students to make sure they are receiving the information.
As a responsible instructor, it is in the best interest of your class to know what kind of learning style your students adapt to the best.
This will ensure each student is catered to through the instruction, it allows each student to respond respectfully by their learning styles to the instruction, and hopefully it will reduce the number of students who are left behind in the instruction.
