Giving students an example of the required work will allow them to understand what is being asked of them and it sets the bar for all future course content.
This gets them familiar with what will be done in class and help them feel more comfortable with the class since they know what to expect.
Hi Torria,
Most of our students are visual learners, and they have a thorough understanding if a visual is shared.

Hi Patricia,
Students better understand the expectations when they are able to see what it is that needs to be done.

Hi Gabriel,
Students love it when they are shown an example. Better clarity is added when they can see a visual.

I believe that it is helpful to show students examples of the work to motivate them and clarify the expectations of the assignment keeping in mind the various learning styles.
Showing examples of student work gives them a visual image of what the expectations in the class are and serves as a guideline for them to be successful with their own assignments. The student should be show w good example and a bad example.
Showing examples of student work allows an instructor to immediately set expectations for a class. The instructor can specify which example work is "A" work as well as example work that is unsatisfactory. I like showing examples of student work as it gives students a framework of how to begin a particular assignment.
Hi Christy,
Visual really does add better clarity/understanding.

Hi Laura,
Students have a better grasp when they have a visual to go by.

I think it's important so the students know what to expect in this course .
I think that it is important because it gives them an idea of what they will be doing. By showing a reference, they can it that as a guide and they will know what to expect when the task is given.
Showing students sample work, such as projects and papers, gives them a clear understanding of what is expected out of each assignment. I like to display projects from past students in the classroom. It gives current students motivation and stimulates creativity in the classroom.
so that they can have an actual visual in their minds of a good example so they can create that form themselves
Hi Angela,
I agree! A visual gives students confidence and motivation.

Many students have never been exposed to the course material.Showing them examples reduces apprehension and helps the student to be more prepared and more successful in completing the assignment
Hi Megan,
You have it! Students most likely are to get it if they can see it!

Hi Kamice,
I can tell you get into this project and you provide great resources to get quality work from your students. Students get it when they can see an example.
