Initially I placed the rules and regulations as my Icon on my notebook, then, I took a highligh of the Institution policies.
I was not updating the marketing, but, now I do understand how important it is.
accrediting,enrollment, marketing and Title IV
The information I place in my resource notebook are Florida statutes, the history about our institution, a small biography of myself and all staff members. I also include our mission statement, rules and regulations. I also have a record of our graduating percentage and job placement possibilties.
Thank you.
Thanks for your input. I am going to start creating separate binders unique to each state we operate in. I believe the pressure on distance learning to comply with specific standards for each state they operate in will increase in the coming year. Home rule, as it pertains to corporate headquarters/main campus, is a thing of the past.
Wade,
Excellent news! Although most of the states operate similarly, they all have nuances particular to them. Organization like this is your new best friend.
Patty Aronoff
Suzanne,
Absolutely! You will learn. All about the state regs and rules applying them to your daily activities.
Patty Aronoff
Victoria,
Admission reps are the first contact with the student and are the primary resources they use.
Patty Aronoff
AZRA,
Continue to add additional documents to add to your notebook. Make it your own design and functionality.
Patty Aronoff
Miriam,
It is important for all staff to be current on all regulations to avoid misleading students and possibly becoming non-compliant..
Patty Aronoff
Denise,
Create a notebook that will assist you in your activities. Add any additional material that you feel will assist you.

Henry,
Yes, it is very important to use the right terms with the right agency. Just make sure the student is well versed.
Patty Aronoff
Michelle,
Excellent! Clock to credit hour conversions are now in the news. Look for new federal proposals. Check the FAPSC website for additional information.
Patty Aronoff
Sandra,
Schools in Florida must adhere to the state regulations first, federal defers to state.

Thank you, specifically, for this portion of the training. My institution operates nationally and, with new standards coming out of DOE requiring greater oversight of state education departments, it is going to become increasingly difficult to keep up with all fifty states. Having a resource book, such as the one you recommend, which is strictly dedicated to Florida, will assist in minimizing potential pitfalls that could arise in dealing with multiple state oversight commissions.
I am excited to begin this venture. This is the first time I am working in an institution. I am starting my Resource book. And think this course is putting me on the right track.
As a branch campus of a New York-based institution, we have to manage a double set of terms: we call the "Enrollment Agreement" an "Application Form," a "Program" is for us a "Major," and several other small discrepancies. These differences also apply to our accrediting institution. It's a bit complicated, but we just have to keep them straight depending on who we're communicating with.
I am very excited to learn all the requirements that are needed in order to follow state rules and regualtions. I am a school owner and now know that my admin rep should have a resource notebook and all the things that it should include
I have the catalog , Florida Statute and Codes and a printed copy of the Fair Consumer Practices .With a printed copy I will be able to acces information easily. I also have copies the enrollment agreement
