Abia,

Emilie,
The health field is one of high demand. Good luck in your school's endeavors.

Kristina,
Get to know your career services department and their advisors. They can provide a wealth of information regarding their placements.

We offer various programs and I usually go to BLS.GOV to see what their career outlooks usually are

At my institution we offer diploma programs such as Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide, Massage Therapy, Surgical Technician and many more. Each program is offered for a different length. The best way to learn about the program is to research it online or to speak with the instructor or to sit in a workshop for the classes.

We have Culinary/International Baking and Pastry programs as well as Automotive Technology, Refrigeration/Air Conditioning, Medical Asst, Dental Asst, Business Office Technology and Cosmetology.
I typically take a look at the Weekly Job listings that are sent out everyweek stating what the jobs are looking for and also observe what the students are learning while they are in the classrooms.

Our school teaches students in the complementary and alternative healthcare field. We offer a single degree. There are very few companies, organizations, or agencies who hire our students. From the beginning of our relationship with students, we prepare them for establishing themselves as private practitioners. The curriculum includes courses in practice management which includes business management, marketing and similar items. Our admissions/student services/career services staff stays in touch with our alumni who are excellent sources of information relating to opportunities. For example, one of our recent graduates has taken a position on a Caribbean island. This graduate found the opening through one of our alumni. Many of our students join established practitioners upon graduation. There is a bond among and between the staff, students, and graduates that provides an automatic network.

The programs offered by our school are various Therapeutic Massage training programs and Skin Care
training programs.

I learned the various programs by reading our Student Catalog and we also have a Brochure on the classes that are taught at our group locations.

Visiting with reps from our career services explain the various job and training needed to be placed in a particulare position. I have also sat in classes to become more familiar with jobs that they can qualify for. Several instructor held training sessions for us so we are also more knowledgeable.
This is good because most of our instructors run or own their own business.
