Robert,
A very good resource is your program advisory council. They are your link to the community and to jobs for our students.
Rosaura,
Try sitting in on a few classes and speaking with instructors. It's a great way to learn more about your school.
We offer plenty of programs and I check BLS.gov regarding the career paths for many of them
Lance,
I agree! Having career services involved from the beginning is a great way to get our students placed.
Joanne,
You will be able to provide the prospective student a real-life view on the career they are considering. Congratulations!
We offer a program in Healthcare, and I actually held the position the students are training for, for many years before becoming an admissions representative. But I still plan on sitting in on courses periodically.
We offer a wide variety of programs at our campus including courses focused in medical, business, network engineering, cosmetology and culinary arts. We offer hands on training programs such as culinary arts, barbering, hvac, web graphic an design, etc. We have monthly product knowlegdge workshops that allow us to learn and keep upto date with the programs, as well as provide us with actual basic experience of what the trainging is like to better have an understanding of the job, in turn allows us to properly an dthoroughly explain the career program and its requirements.

Having previous students as guest speakers is a great idea. This has been done before in my school and really the outcome has been fabulous.
I think it's important to know what programs you have to offer, and what students can do once theyt have earned the degree.
We offer programs in Massage Therapy and Skin Care. I actually have taken the skin program and that has made it really easy to explain to my students exactly what they can expect. Since I have not taken Massage classes, I have spent a lot of time with instructors and have learned a lot. I have also got a lot of great info from our Career Serives director.
We offer two programs. Nail and Skin Care. These programs are 10-12 and 12-14 weeks long. They are self-paced. We enjoy the niche we fill in our community.
