The institution I'm currently with is very good, with they way tehy interact with their students.
The admissions dept department has a great system to stay up to date with all courses and new classes.
Shyam,
Keep on learning about your programs. Talk with instructors and students to get a first hand look.
I am the Academic Dean of the institution i work for, one of my responsibilities is the process of accreditation and working on this issue I have to know practically about the entire organization.

The Org Chart is very beneficial with internal and external communication especially with new campus employees who may be unfamiliar with education processes. However building departmental bridges and cross training has become our focus as the goal is to meet the needs of the student while keeping all departments within the compliance guidelines.
Because my school is so small and I am the owner, I am familiar with every aspect of what we offer.
I feel I have a good baseline of knowledge about my institution overall.
I am conversant with all of the current programs that we offer to our students, and I am familiar with the student lifecycle in our institution.
I have enrolled myself into several classes and attended as a typical student would do in ordre to " walk - a - mile " in the shoes of my customers, to better understand their world and the experiences as well as the stresses that they encounter everyday as they attend classes.
I also spend time working with other departments within our campuses to better understand their processes and needs, so that as I send students to them for various needs, I can help both aprties to communicate better by setting the proper expectations for service.
I am always leraning new things about our institution, as we are a global entity, and have campuses all over the world.
Our institution is quite unique in several regards so I have spent considerable time enumerating what differentiates us in the educational marketplace. Key distinctions occur in the areas of classroom vs. online, financial aid, length of program, etc.
Each day is a learning experience.
I am a new employee finding out new things about this institution each day. I have learned about the five offered programs and am no discovering more information regarding the classes being offerred in each program.
Thanks Patty. This knowledge has allowed me to consolidate the knowledge that I had before. And there is still much to learn. Of course, we shared our impressions and experiences. That way we take care to be well informed.
Amy,
Holding institutional knowledge is a great asset.
Francisco,
You have a tremendous amount of knowledge. Sharing your knowledge is a great way for your organization to grow.
I feel that I'm dominating the admission process.. To complement this knowledge with the appearance of my learning has strengthened regulations and information management. I´m Admissions Representative in my institution. Step into the shoes of the prospective student is crucial. One must really know their needs in order to advise effectively. Of course, knowing the processes and content of courses and programs is the most important, if not, what could be offered even when one knows the needs of others?
Today I know each of the educational programs that we offer, both, the bachelor and graduate.
I know the forms of admission for each case.
I know the different investment costs for each program.
I know the requirements according to each case.
I know the internal rules and these regulations are derived from the Commission for Independent Education.
I know the marketing that makes new students to contact us, as well as publicity material to distribute by email to inform our educational services.
I think there are more ways to offer our educational programs, and they are not made. It is certainly a chance that we can develop later.
I have used internal operating procedures of the university for this information. Also,
I have been trained and I have seen how my colleagues work. Despite this, the best way I have learned is doing the work. Make the best way to learn. But for this, has been necessary to know the institution through your manuals and my coworkers previously.
I have been at my school for three yeas and am one of the most senior.people here(in terms of history). I know the organization very well fro a historical standpoint and have ser ied in every department, so I know a little about each process and each touch point we have with a student.
My location is a brand new location. I am very excited to be part of this start up. Everyday I am learning something new and building on the things I have already learned.
Julio,
Very interesting. Dealing with international students is a very different student experience.
Kathryn,
You have a wealth of information and expertise to share with others.
Kevin,
Knowing the business side of today's world is very important.
Luc,
Knowing your instructors is a great way to know your school. Thanks for posting your process.
Reo,
The pride in your school shines through. This is an example of why we are in the business we are in....changing lives.
