Benjamin,
Keep on learning!
Jessica,
It is very important that admissions and financial aid work together. It is through efforts of both that we produce an enrolled student.
Once a week we meet as an admissions and financial aid department. It's our Financial Aid Direrct, Financial Aid Advisor, Owner, Director of Operations and myself as the Admissions Specialist. We discuss anything new in our department or with our institution, upcoming events, upcoming class start dates and game plans to continue successful enrollment, and financial aid questions or updates, etc..
The meetings typically last about an hour and it keeps us all on the same page, moving the same direction, always with our students best interest at hand.
Well I believe and hope to attend many meetings to which will allow to gain more knowledge of the company for whom I am working for. I haven't had any meetings as of yet most of my meetings have been to complete this hiring process. However the meetings in which I presume will take place will be on the enrollment process and how they want it done, the correct procedures for interviewing a prospect and such things as that.
meetings are important because they sort out positive and negitive subjects.
