I never give the students a salary, or a possible income. I tell them to do their research in their city or town of the career they will be persuing .

Moira,
It gives all schools the same playing field. Students can compare schools and seek information from the state regarding their licensure.
Patty Aronoff
Mirella,
The students should only choose a program if it fits within their goals and desires.
Patty Aronoff
gerard,
This is the basic concept of Fair Consumer Practices by always being truthful and operating by the law set before you.

The CIE makes us all better admissions people. It makes us knowlegeable so we can perfom our jobs at the highest level of consistancy providing a professional level of customer service to the prospect
These requirements guide me in what I should and should not say or do with prospective students. They ensure that the student is provided the correct relevant information so that they can make a fully informed decision about our school.
They affect EVERYTHING I do at my job. They regulate what we have to do as an instituion but they are also out guidelines. The more I know and read their requirements, rules, and regulations the better my school will be at meeting the required standards.
They set the standards for how we should interact with our students, providing a solid framework for daily interaction. They encourage full transparancy of our programs and processes and ensure fair practices across all institutions.
As an admission representative after taking this training I learn, some information that I was aware of , but not exactly. If a prospect it student after, I explained the diferentes programs with the pro and contra, I believed they need to make some reseach in their own: as an example How much I will get paid after I become certify as a medical assistant.I will suggested that student to look in the internet, ect. I consider this an option for that student, may the student need to go for RN or LPN is the salary isn't what he was expecting at all or choose a different carrer.
These rules and regulations "should" keep everone on a level playing field. There should be only truth in advertising. Any questions a perspective student would have would have to be answered truthfully. Students could also be directed to resources where they could find answers.
Mirella,
When they do research on their own, they are gaining knowledge for their decision making while having tools for the future.
Patty Aronoff
Josue,
The rules protect all...the student and the school.
Patty Aronoff
Chana,
By providing all information, you are giving the student the information they need to make the best decision for them.
Patty Aronoff
Jim,
Honesty...integrity...are words to live by!

I always advise the prospective students by taking in consideration the rules and regulations, beside this many time i suggest to them to do some research in their own. Sometimes when they do it, they can find them self to be more realistic of what they want or they may be able to take a different approach of what they think in best for them.
CIE sets the standards and rules that shape both the job function of the admissions reps as well as the student-admissions rep interactions. CIE requirements ensure that the students best-interest is placed first and that the school is represented accurately and with integrity. That is to say, CIE regulates both the tactics and type of information that can be shared with students. This regulation ensures that students' best interest is placed first, and that the institution is represented accurately and in a manner befitting a place of higher learning.
CIE requirements set the ethical standard for admission reps. Their rules create an atmosphere of honesty and integrity in the relationships between the school and the students.
They ensure that I am upfront with potential students about job prospects, transferability of credit, and the difference between a licensed and accredited institutions. As an admissions agent, I naturally want many students to enroll. However, I cannot make promises that I cannot deliver. The CIE requirements ensure that I also tell students things I might not have volunteered. For example, that I cannot guarantee that another institution will accept our credits for transfer.
