Evan,
I would never discuss salary potential but instead give them trusted resources to conduct their own research. Giving misleading information is against CIE rules.
Rules and regulations constantly change. Ongoing education is vital to keep up with the regulatory requirements.
Well, after reading responses from other reps and doing my own research I would have to say that I would lead my students/prospects in a direction to answer any questions they may have about careers and salaries in their respective field. I am also going to check out the 0*Net to gather info for myself for the the student to refer to.
They make sure we stay in compliance of the regulations.
Should we try to always stray away from these type of topics? Salaries and inquiries on job placement seem to be a very important to potential students. I always direct students to internet searchs on pay rates in their profession or to call local employees.
