Yes, the school I am with also has had me meet with the representative to go over changes that have occurred so that we are on the same page together. We also share information regrading retention rates, cost of the program, and repayment information with the student. I am not doing any of the meetings with students until I have the permit to do so, but I have been in the meetings to see what they entail. We are also taking a close look at our program as we construct it so we meet the standard for being accountable for preparing students for gainful employment and program integrity.
The college I represent has taken many steps to be in compliance and provide accurate information to potential students. We have daily meetings to discuss challenges, successes, new procedures, and new product knowledge and upcoming course offerings. Weekly we have an in-depth product knowledge training by the Academic Director of a given program, to discuss features.
We use stickers, Consumer Info links on our web-based interview guide, during our interview, and we are required to provide the websites to a prospective student and his/her support system during the interview and campus visit process, so that this information can be referred to at any time. We actively review post-graduate job placement success rates for those programs that have satisfactory data.
I really dont understand why they took away the bonuses i mean it really helped us make sure we were involved in students graudating!
Fortis Online has implemented training modules and quizes for all new updates and changes as they occur within our regulated guidelines as a registered school.
Phil,
To get actual copies of the actual regulations you would have to review the the code of federal regulations (CFR). For more information on the changes to the federal program integrity rules you can visit this web site: http://www.tgslc.org/policy/integrity-rules.cfm

Our school has added things to our website. Would like to know where to get the entire regulations to read it for myself.
Our school has also implemented strigent policies and procedures as well as added addendums to all written materials and web sites.
"The only constant is change." The school I work for makes it a priority to keep everything up-to-date. Maintaining current disclosures and extending them to current and prospective students keeps the school in compliance.
The school I work for has added to our website. We can now utilize the same website accessable to the public to print materials for potential students.
Yes. Our school does a fantastic job about training admissions so that we can then talk with our prospective students with up to date information.
Yes we have scheduled some cross training with our financial aid department to help ease the transition to these changes
Our tuition and fees have always been listed on our school's website.
With the implementation of the new rules that went into effect, our school is making sure that we continue to comply with any and all rules currently in place.
We also cover this in meetings. Compliance is stressed here and is very important to our school and it's administrators.
I think that a school can never be too compliant. The transparency also allows the students and family to feel good that you are doing the right thing - all the time.
The school I work for has stepped up it's compliance monitoring program, and give detailed feed back to our representatives to ensure both improvement and compliance.
Yes, we have training once a week to ensure we are keeping up with everything new.
We here at AST have done the same thing for traing purposes also. A well informed rep. is a good rep. :)
our school has done the same in putting the program cost on the website. This way it takes pressure off the reps when it comes to breaking down pricing of the programs
I amd new as well and am experiancing the same atmosphere. MJCC is very dedicated to compliance and they are updating all materials and training.
I am a new employee and this is my first time in admissions. So far all of my training has been intense and I have been working very hard on learning what everyone else already knows. I know that many things have changed around here in a very positive way. Our students are top priority here and we never want to steer them in the wrong direction. We are always getting evaluated as well making sure we are keeping up to date and giving all the correct directions to students.
On every inquiry received, we refer them to our Colleges website and particularly the Consumer Information. Every potential student now has full disclosure. These rules should of been implemented a long time ago.
