Diversified students

I found that Course ED 117 was perfect for what I need in my class; because I have such a diversity in ages and backgrounds, and I can now see how I really have to incorporate different learning tools to accomodate my students.  I have the older generation (Vets/baby boomers) and the Y-ers all mixed together.  It's difficult reading, lecturing, power-pointing, and hands-on all in one day -- let alone one hour.  l find the Y-ers are the students that keep me on my toes, and they definitely want to know "WHY?." to every single statement I make or when… >>>

ED105

I have to say that I liked this class very much. Dealing with career students can be hard at times. Some of the time they are older than me and may just be choosing a new career path. I enjoyed this course. It helped me in knowing the different ways I can teach to my students. I have many ideas now that I would like to bring into my classroom.

ED311

As far arts & krafts for me....not so much. I'm not artistic at all and I appreciated all the ideas to bring hands on krafts to the classroom.  Connecting everyday material to the anatomy of our bones & muscles is a great concept.

EL104 Teaching and Organizing a Virtual Learning Environment

I was very impressed with this e-learning course. I am just learning about being an online instructor and it helped me in many ways to define my role, as well as, the role of the students I will be teaching. I will be taking some more e-learning course in the future to continue my education on this endeavor of my future.

HD/ED102

Being a neophite in this arena, I feel intimidated often by other instructors.  As time goes on I find this to be a common thread.  I hope to never be an intimidating co-worker/instructor.

Improving my teaching skills

The course I have just finished (ED101)  proves that there is always room for perfection.  To be a good teacher/instructor you need to train youself constantly.  It was said within the course that we can retain only 40% of what we read.
If so, my instruction skills are  drastically increased.

ED114

Just completed the ED114 course. I found it to be very informative. The course included great techniques and examples of asking the right questions in the classroom.

EL 102

I just completed EL 102 and I found the course to be very engaging.  It covered in detail several aspects of online teaching.  The Class Discussions were meaningful and encouraged critical thinking.  I recommend this course to new online instructors.

First Impression

I believe giving the student a positive first impression will set the tone for success of the student

Student Success

I believe the tutorials are helpful in helping us create better lesson plans and keep better organized classrooms.

I just completed ED107 and felt the course material as the other Max Knowledge courses I have taken was quite informative and eye opening in areas that I thought I was comfortable in.  Understanding the benefits and importance of two-way communication and learner retention is so vital to the learning process.  Also, knowing how to be effective in both areas is so key to the process of being a sucessful learning facilitor.  Greatly enjoyed the course.

Gen Y learners

ED110 Stress Management

I just completed ED110 Stress Management.  i found the material valuable.  We often know what to do and what we need to relieve stress, however, actually following through with the steps to relieve our stress could be a different story.  This course helped to remind me to stay conscious about keeping my stress level down!

ED113

I just completed the ED113 course. I found this course to be very informative although I think some of it needs to be revised to meet the adults of today. Society and students have changed since this course was written.

The course was laid out very well and I enjoyed the scenarios and putting myself into each one trying to pick what I would do and then what was the correct action.

Coming from the high school level into the world of teaching adults has definitely been challenging yet enjoyable.

This course was wonderful!  I feel like I know how to teach my students more and faster now that I understand their learning methods better.  I now have tools to use to make sure I'm getting them what they need and I'm able to be effective at showing them how to learn new material.  Thank you.

It is a very useful course. I learned a lot of things about online courses that I will use right now because we are creating a new online program for our school.
