I have taken the new approach that Publicity is the core of a Marketing plan. We have begun to network by joining the local Chamber of Commerce.
Next we are going to revamp our web site using our students, graduates, training partners and employers’ input.
We are scheduling a “Grand Opening/Open House†with t-shirts that advertise our “new†web site. We are going to publicize it with a press release. Describing the benefits of the program to the community.
And finally we are going to publish a monthly one-page newsletter to post electronically on our web site and send to our students, grads, employers, training partners, and prospective students.
We are going to create a database of e-mail addresses to send these to. The newsletter will include a Good news story of a past Grad (with a signed release), and will also be sent as a press release.
Oh yeah . . . and we will be adding a “Testimonials†page to our web site; made up of text, audio and video.
Not bad for a two person school. And the Mall is awaiting for Saturday “guerilla marketingâ€.
Follow up at least 7 times in different ways with each lead.
Of course one thing at a time; and Measure, Measure, Measure!
