I find it most helpful to understand as much as possible about my students including their learning style. This helps me to make sure that I am delivering the information that is most understandable to them. I want my students to be successful on an individual basis and not soley based on classrooom statistics.
Any information that I have can help me to be a better instructor but the key is that I am willing to look at the information and use it accordingly.
The benefits of knowing the learning styles of my students allows be to customize my content delivery so all the students can assimilate the information effectively based on their particular learning style. By reaching each student equally I become more effective.

It is always helpful to know how my students learn and to help them explore different learning styles. I tell them my style of learning and it usually starts a discussion on the different styles. This helps in my planning for each class and I try to be flexible and very encouraging as my students experience different styles.
I completely agree with this comment. We usually teach the way we were taught or the way that we prefer to learn. I always administer a learning styles assessment the first week of class and the students are fascinated with the results. I then plot the entire class results on one graph, allowing them to see how their classmates prefer to learn.....lends itself to a good discussion.
If you get an idea of how each indivisual student learns then it is easy to teach them in certain ways were they will understand the materials. Finding different teaching methods can be an effective way to reach out to all students.
It will be very helpful to the instructor to know the learning styles of the students in order to find or developp a good instructional delivery method to get their attention and to increase their rate of success.
You will be able to more effectively plan how course content should be delivered to enhance learning for students.
I feel that by being famliar with various learning styles of my students can help me to plan my lessons around this and make sure that I am focusig on every aspect that all of my students can benefit from my instructional methods. By having this knowledge I can focus more on what will benefit my students in the learning process.

Learning the styles of the student is very important because it allows the instructor to plan accordingly.
To the extent that my mission is to educate the student, I must first reach the student. Getting the student's attention is the first part of the task, keeping the student's attention is education. The best way to keep the student's attention is to interest the student in the material. To keep a student's attention is the goal of this multi-task approach. To discover different ways to present material enhances my knowledge of the subject, hence personal and professional growth.
It really is important to know the learning styles of students so that we may deliver the information successfully and have quality material received. In our campus there are various teaching styles among instructors that teach similar courses and I tell the students they are fortunate to have that so that they may be better prepared for the workforce (diversity).
