Consistency is important for learner ease-of-use of the course, and it should be evaluated continually for areas that can be improved.
For online learning, it is important to maintain consistency between the modules. To save time, the teacher should develop a learning objects database.
I leart that in creating course-module template, student proir knowledge and their learning needs should be considered, hence the need to have an on-going testsing and review of course content to meet those learning expectations.
I learned that it's very important to break info up into chuncks to make things easier to find and in the end saves time for future work.
I really like the idea of creating a Learning Database to have a central location for files, graphics, videos and other things of intrest that students (and I) can easily access and organzises the information.
I learned the importance of being consistant and using templetes to save time.
I use google classroom: I will make sure assignments are in one spot and that I label each so the students can easily find them.
The most important thing I learned was consistency and length
I need to make sure I create a Learning-Objective Data Base. When remote learning started this year, I saved everything I did all over my computer instead of having a specified file. It will make retreiving information much easier.
Consistency is very important when developing your course framework and the units within it.
I have learned that consistency is vitally important in creating modules. I think the transition from face to face teaching to teaching online will be difficult for me. I have also learned that length of videos is important to keep the viewer engaged. I also realized that chunking content may be a better strategy than trying to cram too much information into a module.
This module reminded me that font and size are an important part of presenting information in online learning. All students must be able to read the text in the course module. Text size should be easily readable as well as the fonts. things should only be in bold and italics in order to help emphasize important information. The module also expressed that font sizes, types, and styles must also be consistent across all modules utilized within the course you are instructing.
I learned the importance of consistancy when it comes to creating an online format. This helps students find learning objects easily. Also, teachers can use outside resources to help develop the learning objects.
I plan to be consistent in the presentation of my modules to not confuse the learner.
Module consistency is key.
I like the reinfocement of the chunking concept. I had read about it before and needed to be reminded.
I did notice the reference to flash which can be a problem.. Much of the authoring software uses other types of output.
i learned that it is important to maintain consistency so students can use the "cueing" to know what to expect.
I learned that module work is an organized way for both students and teachers to apply work. The database is an excellent way to collect and store pertinant information.
Learning objects is a new term for me. I want to be able to talk about scaffolding, chunking and identifying learning objects in terms of online teaching going forward.
I have learned how important it is to organize the modules in the same way and to use the same systems throughour the modules. Making everything flow for students is helpful for learning.
