Jenny,
I know it seems like an undertaking in the beginning but in the end, it is very resourceful.
Jeff,
Make the resource notebook your own and it will work for you.
Shavonne,
How do you make sure that students understand the terminology?
I discovered that even though my schools corporate office is in another state The admissions staff is still responsible to uphold Florda's rules and regulations as they apply.
Elliot,
Make the notebook your own by adding marketing materials, contact list, etc.
MiJung,
CIE rules covers every institution in Florida regardless of program or method of delivery.
Tasheika,
Make the notebook work for you. Add any additional materials that make your job easier.
Rene,
Marketing materials change rapidly but it is an important part of the notebook.
Rene,
Thank you for the feedback. Continue to make the notebook your own and work for you.
Damaris,
That is the joy of being new! You are able to see and ask questions that many have overlooked.
Todd,
Thank you for your feedback. We look forward to you sharing your expertise!
Marie,
Thank you for your posting. You are making the notebook a very useful tool.
As a result of this training I will put together a resource manual including the school's catalog (flagging course/program descriptions, organizational chart, financial aid available to those who qualify, student services available) CIE rules 6E,marketing brochure, and accreditation information. Thanks for this information - keeps everything at your finger tips!
The resource notebook is going to be a very valuable source. I am really enjoying the course and already plan to discuss with the director and put into action several of the ideas
to make the paperwork easier to stay within compliance. Example: Prepare a check list for student file.
Rene,
How are these relayed to the student?
Steve,
How are these terms relayed to the student?
The idea of having a "Resource Notebook" at my desk never crossed my mind. So far I placed our school catalog and copy of our enrollment agreement in it,but it's just the beginning. I think it's GREAT because it's increased my curiosity to where I would like to know MORE about my institution as a whole. I have worked in admissions for over 7 yrs and although quite familiar with our institutions rules and regulations, I think that there is always room to learn more.
The term and definition commonly used during the admission process are, Accreditation because the student wants to make sure that the certification of competency, authority, or credibility is presented.
