I have the CIE rules and regs along with the most recent ABHES manual and our school catalog in my resource notebook and will be adding things as I go along. This is an excellent idea to keep all pertinent information at your finger tips at all times.

Hi Patty,

My resource notebook will include information that compares and contrasts our online education policies versus their residential counterparts.

I learned about the 12 safe harbors and the new requirements that must be maintained by our college in relation to incentive pay for admissions representatives.

Thanks,
Jeff

I have placed the CIE rules and regulations on my new notebook binder; in additions I included the school catalog, student handbook. I will keep it next to at all time, like my personal bible.

Definitions help to understand to our prospective student every word and term used in their programs as follow:

Enrollment agreement
Institution
Marketing
Cost of Program
Graduation date

I have included all the printouts for the the different rules and regulations for educational institutions in the state of Florida. I was not aware that the enrollment agreement had uniformal requirements throughout the state for different educational institutions.

I have placed my institutions admissions processes. In my resource book.

"Cost Per Credit Hour" means the amount of Tuition charged for a Credit Hour.

"Title IV Funds" means a loan, grant or other funding source to pay the Student’s cost of attendance as defined under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965.

"Financial Aid" means a loan, grant or other funding source to pay Tuition under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 or any other state or federal programs including funding provided by the Veterans Administration or Bureau of Indian Affairs.

"Financial Assistance" means a loan, grant or other funding source available or provided to the Student to pay Tuition as a loan, grant, or other funding source provided by any non-governmental source including banks or other third party lenders that does not constitute Financial Aid.

"Transfer Credit" means credit for courses successfully completed at another educational institution that is accepted by the Campus.

Transcript, enrollment date, graduation date, requirement to graduation, costs, complete application, advertising

I update all information regarding marketing ,

I really appreciate this course because It guide me to create the Resource Notebook .
I insert the enrollment agreement, the catalog,
chapter 6 E, Florida Administrative Code Commission Rules, check list, Rules from Naccas.-

In my resource notebook I have placed the marketing goals for my admissions department, a list of the types of advertisement currently being used, a copy of the rules and regulations provided, a copy of the job description, and a page where I can add questions that I currently don't have the answers to. Since I am new as an admissions officer, I have learned a huge amount of new information in a fairly short amount of time. And this of course has created loopholes in the way I am learning this information. Going through this training, as I read, I realize some of the questions I wouldn't know how to answer. The notebook is where I put them so I can ask them to my director as soon as I can.

Actually I have been well versed in admissions and have been performimg the rules and infoamtion provided for sometime now. The course was good.

In my resource book, I have included the following information; florida statues and the florida administrative code as it relates to the CIE, Agents, and Post Secondary Institutions;some of the institution tuition and financial aid information; the financial aid policies and procedures as they relate to both the federal government and our institution; the institution catalog policy and procedures; the enrollment agreement; copies of ads and marketing materials; and a current catalog.

The Resourse Notebook is a very useful tool since much of our materials are online or on CDs; and has help me understand what is it that we have to do to help our students.

I have placed the CIE rules and regulations print out provide in this training. As well, I printed the definitions. What I found interesting was of the rules states that if a student is found to not be eligible for admission, any money must be refunded that is collected. Would this inlclude the application fee?

Tim,
Make the notebook work for you. Add any additional material that will assist you in your interactions with students. I would suggest adding any ad slicks or other information that brings the students to your school.

Joseph,
You are correct. Accreditation is voluntary but necessary in order to receive Title IV funding. Current licensure is mandatory to operate in Florida.

Damaris,
I know that this may seem like a huge endeavor, but the notebook is to work for you. Beyond the basics, make it your own.

Sara,
Excellent advice. Sometimes it can be very confusing if we shift to other names. I know acronyms can be very easy to use and conversely, very difficult to understand.

Imaidy,
No need to apologize. We are all learning together. Keep up the good work.

I am reviewing for changes to the rules. The other items mentioned for the Resource Notebook are contained in our 12 Standards Narrative with Exhibits, which is stored in a tabbed notebook.
