I was given a pre-made binder that has information regarding various processes which are seperated using dividers.
I like to organize my paper work in a 3 ring binder so I can easily update it when needed and I use dividers that are labeled and color coated for easy access.
As a Librarian, I am used to work with loose leaf publications so the same principle applies in this case. Every document should have a date and some indication of the procedure to supersede it.
Checklist should be coded according to the year. It should be revised every semester as new students could have additional steps to go or things might not apply to them anymore. It might become a double edge sword.
I am keeping organized by using a binder with color coded tabs.
Charles,

It will assist in maintaining an easy flow of access to certain documentation.
Admissions training documentation must be maintained so it can be reviewed by accrediting bodies and / or regulators. One of the easiest way to organize this documents is in an electronic portfolio, sorted by date and employee, also including the list of participants and results of any type of assessment or evaluations conducted.
I follow a basic six-sigma approach as a way to minimize errors and guarantee compliance
The cloud is the next place to be when storing documents. We have to get used to not having paper or having access to the share drive to this way of keeping documents in place.
I am currently using a cloud service to access documents on all of my devices. It makes it much easier to manage when everything is a simple click away.
Heidi,
It will always be there for you as long as you keep it current.
