I am organizing all the paperwork and information in a three ring notebook so I can use a resource manuel to refer to on a day to day basis.
I utilize notebooks and dividers with note pages to create my own quick reference guide to finding information quickly and accurately.
I am gathering all my old documents (such as the Institute Catalog, Student Agreement, etc) and getting the new one (from the links given) and putting them together in order that I can follow the order easily. They are in the Admissions Resource Manual where I can find all the information when is needed.
I keep all of mine in a binder and organized by date as well as by content of the notes and paperwork themselves and separated by program or area it applies to.
I just started organizing with a 3 ring binder in alphabetical order as well, and it's working great!!!
I organize by notebook in a 3 ring binder with following main subjects:
Organizational Chart
School Catalog
Programs
Admissions Department
Financial Department
Career Services Department
Marketing Department
And of course I have subdivisions for each. Another thing that has worked great for me is using sheet protectors for each page. A bit time consuming, but it has helped me tremendously with the longevity of my notebook.
Paper work related to my admissions training is put in a 3 ring binder. I separated them with dividers that have tab names such as "Policies," "Agreements," etc. It is easier to access my paper work and I could go through the binder really quickly.
Hi Patty,
Although I have been in my current role as an Enrollment Representative for seven years, I find the information presented in this training to be most helpful. I have actually printed out the material presented up to this point and am putting together a reference manual that can be used by my coworkers and myself.
Coretta,
Three ring binder is give you the flexibility to move, remove and add.

Paul,
Checklists are an absolute necessity when auditing files. It gives you a quick look at the file but also gives you an indication of what is there and what is missing. Checklists also provide a roadmap so that everyone is following the same path.
Patty Aronoff
Jael,
I recently lost all my archive folders in my email. I learned a valuable lesson and maintaining a back up to the back up.
