I love the three ring binder idea! I will definitely begin using this tip! I am enjoying this class because as a new person in Admissions, I can use all the tips and tricks of the trade that I can receive! Thank you!

I keep my note in order of the index. Everything related to the admissions process and procedures has it's own seperate notebook organized by the director.

I really liked the idea of having a notebook, so I have started that. I have printed the documents as I am coming across them in the class. I can see how this will be helpful in having all the information in one quick and easy place. I’m familiar with change, and policies/procedures changing, so it will be easy for me to keep an eye out for any changes and add or subtract that information from my notebook.

Every single person has a paper and electronic file. The electronic folder has a scanned copy of the file and is only created after the paper file is complete. The paper file has a specific name ID and it cross-referenced with the electronic file to easily look up any information.

Thus far I had created a noted book and I am printing each section.

I have visited the University website for admissions, financial aid and have copied the application process and put a copy in the note book.

In regards to the admissions training course, I am organizing all of my paperwork in a binder which is separated by tabs for easier access.

I have been bale to organized the paperwork and information related to completing the admission training with a notebook.

I use a binder with color coded tabs.

We organize the paperwork in notebooks, so that the information is easily accessible to us.

Here in our office we have a printed binder that holds all of our information. The binder belongs to the office and we add new information or take away old information as deemed necessary. We frequently discuss admissions processes and what all needs to be done regarding that process. We most recently have been heavily involved in updating and training as well since we received a new hire in our office a little over a month ago. The binder/printed out information was very helpful.

Cindy,

Excellent! Having the ability to access the information that you need based on how you built it is very important for accessibility.

Zachary,

You have the best of both worlds for your documents. Having the paper copy allows you many benefits as well as an electronic copy provides you connectivity and searching ability.

Barbara,
Sounds like a great plan! You have all the paperwork you need in the order that you need it ready when you are.

Amanda ,

Organization keeps us on the straight and narrow when it comes to compliance. Being organized is the best way to approach our positions and making sure that we follow all the rules and regulations.

I organize all my paperwork by alphabetically order and using color-coded tabs.

I am utilizing a "Resource Notebook" with highlighted sections to orgazine my paperwork from the training. I have also saved the documents electronically in a folder on my desktop. I am continuing to review the sections covered through training, and putting special emphasis on the assessment questions for which I gave incorrect answers.

It is important to have my Resource Notebook available for reference when working with students from the state of Florida!

I organize my paperwork in a binder with the things I normally need the most on top. After that, I have it organized by program and department with tabs between each that are labeled so I can find everything quickly and easily.

I like this approach too! Keeps me organized and on top of everything.

Danielle,
Great idea! The forum provides opportunities for us to learn from each other.

Doing the same. It makes it easier to find student files when needed.
