I know each program detailed course work at my school. I also make sure I recieve product knowledge once a month from each program director at our school to be aware of any updates or policy changes.
Tracy,
That is great news! You have an opportunity to bring in your experience from other departments to your new role in admissions.

Mark,
There is certainly a difference in online recruiting and ground recruiting. We have the advantage when we meet face-to-face to tune into their body language and nonverbal's.
Patty Aronoff
Deborah,
We should be in a constant state of learning. The more we know about the programs, the better we can serve our prospective students with the information they need in order to make their decision.
Patty Aronoff
Jessica,
Excellent! Continuing to take opportunities to learn will help you grow.
Patty Aronoff
Sonya,
Visiting classrooms is such an exciting experience. It brings back to the admissions representative a learning experience as a prospective student would see as an enrolled student..

I have worked at my institution since 2008. I started out as a Receptionist, worked as an Associate Registrar, and now as an Enrollment Specialist. I feel my experience has allowed me to gain diverse knowledge that helps me with my current position. Communicating on a regular basis with Program Directors, the Academic Dean, instructors, etc. helps me to stay up to date with information. Communication and seeking knowledge helps me to feel confident that I am helping prospective students to make an informed decision about going to school.
I am learning more as I complete the modules, however I have only started here a couple of hours ago. I do know that as admissions reps we call and schedule appointments for face to face interviews. I used to work at an online school, so I like the idea of meeting the prospective students in person.
I rate my knowledge as being good. I try to learn more as I go as part of the process. I try to visit the classrooms to observe as much as possible. Doing this make it easy to discuss with prospective students.
I am knowledgeable and feel comfortable with discussing the different areas of our campus. Specifically; the role of our Director of the campus and Recruitment, Registrar's Office, Financial Aid, & Career Services. The area that I would like to focus on more is the actual curricula and programs offered. I would like to become familiar with the basic concepts taught in the courses. That way, I can speak comfortably on the tour and will be ready to answer specific questions.
Warmest Regards,
Deborah Diaz
I am still learning as much as I can about my institution and look forward to each day as it brings about new challenges.
Troy,
Most schools with federal financial aid have the financial aid specialist. It's nice to let the students move over to their area and talk about the intimate parts of obtaining funding.
Patty Aronoff
DAHLIA,
Keep up the good work. We have never learned it all so keep on learning.
Patty Aronoff
Alice,
The online environment in education is the future today. Need to be well-versed on online education as we talk with perspective students.
Patty Aronoff
James,
There is nothing wrong in seeking additional information when you are unsure. It is better to ask them to give wrong information.
Patty Aronoff
Jenny,
That is great! We always need to be learning and being open to that opportunity will get you far.
Patty Aronoff
Nancy,
Such good news! It is such an exciting opportunity for us to work in this sector.
Patty Aronoff
frank,
Keep on learning! We have a lot to learn from each other and continue to grow as an institution.
Patty Aronoff
Kathleen,
Excellent! Be sure to share your knowledge and expertise with others at your institution.

I have a very solid understanding of the duties and requirements for admissions. I do, however, only have a basic understanding of the financial aid process. Being Title IV funded gives me only a small amount of room to provide the necessary info for the admissions steps. To be honest, I like it this way.
