I rate it pretty highly. I know how to answer questions about the institution, the programs offered and requirements, the application and enrollment process, who is responsible for what job and how it is done and the relevancy of the job.I can answer questions on finances and job placement. Methods of advertising, students services and trainings. I have discovered that all the relevant paperwork follow the rules and statutes and have all the relevant details required. I know the methods of operation and licensure process and requirements.
Working in the educational field for quite some time has giving me the opportunity to learn most departments such as Financial Aid, Registra, Academics and Students Services depts, but working in an instution where there is On line classes only is kind of new to me, there is always something new I learn such as blackboards, purchasing books online and communicating with instructors etc. Asking questions is always a good factor to be knowlegeable and able to help the students when questions arise know which deptmartment should help depending on students needs. Since we offer under graduates and graduates (MBA)programs
Although I am confident about my general knowledge of my institution, it is necessary that I have available to me resources to provide further information to prospective students when asked.
This includes but is not limited to feedback from individuals in appropriate departments at my institution who could provide more detailed information.
I believe it is better to "go and get the information" myself first before referring the prospective student to another.
I learn every day something new because there is always room for improvements and knowledge. In my institution we have meetings very often and we brainstorm and share our knowledge and experiences. I loved to know every day more and more about each department. For me it is really important to be updated on all procedures, rules and regulations. I always ask questions and I loved to get involved.
I am learning more and more about the institution that I work for and enjoying every minute of it.
I'm learning a lot about my institution and the wonderful folks that work there. I've learned a lot about student services and the wide range of services they provide our students, as well as the abundance of tutoring offered.
on a scal from 1 - 10 I must say that I rate my knowledge of my institution at a 10! I am familiar with all programs, from nutrition consultant to practitioner. In both Herbal and Nutrition.
providenza,
Facts are what we are to provide to the students. If we provide anything other than the facts, then we are misleading the students.

Donard,
Great news! The state of Florida wants to have education opportunities for students that fall within the rules and provide excellent customer service.

I feel like i am pretty knowledgeable about my institution. Being in admissions i have had several questions asked about several other departments over the years. It has been a great benefit for me as i have learned a lot that way. Of course there is always more to learn. At times you think you know how a different department functions but until you have to ask certain questions, it is only then you discover all the details there are! it has taught me to never assume and always ask . . FACTS are the most important thing.
I know that my institution is providing a good quality of education and our students are very satisfied.
shelley ,
Know your product! Get out the product knowledge pages and learn them well. Talk with the education staff and ask them questions.

I am very new to the college in which I am employed with but do find myself researching each program at each campus so that I can better familiarize myself with more detailed information. Further, it is better to be more knowledgeable so that we can better assist our students as well as our prospective students.
Dianne,
Congratulations! You are building a dream for yourself and the students you will ultimately serve.

Marisol,
Vocational schools serve the community at large. It is an integral part of the community where you draw your students and they in turn look for jobs in their field.

I am a very small institution building it on my own so I will know every step I am taking. I am still learning especially with the course I am taking on line here. I have learned the importance of my student admissions and the wording to be used and why. This is an amazing journey.
It is a vocational institute. They market in the communities surrounding the school face to face.
Michelle,
You are gaining strong institutional knowledge which is extremely valuable. Share your expertise with others!

I rate my knowledge as excellent. I have been working with my insitution for nine years now; however, I know that degree programs, policies and procedures continually change. I've adapted to these continual changes and frequently review institutional websites to stay as current as possible on my knowledge.
Belen,
It takes an entire school to grow a graduate and we have an important role in their success.
