Reinaldo,
Excellent idea! Thank you for your post.

Felix,
Keeping up-to-date takes effort. Keep up the good work!

Jeff,
Sitting in on classes is a great experience. You get to share in the student experience.

Harry,
Tours are an important part of the admissions process. Students get excited and enjoy meeting staff.

Patricia,
Getting along together and working together shows the student that they are in the right place!

I do know a great deal about our institution.
the cost and hours of our operation
the rules and reglations
the enrollment agreement
the financial aspects of our company
getting along with all employees is must and team work is very inportant here at our school

What i know is that every student that is given a tour of the campus will first meet all the staff members of this institution and will be given a narrative of how they support the student from Campus Director, Education Manager, Student services, Career Services, Registrar etc. This gives the student a good feeling to know that we are here for them

I feel quite confident in my knowledge of the institution. Like any job though, information, rules, and policies are ever changing; I have discussed roles and responsibilties with department heads, but again will keep checking with them and on my own for any new information. I will be planning to "sit in" classes, to better inform prospective student(s).

I feel that I'm very knowledgeable about my institution. I have met with instructors, reviewed our school catalog and have taken the time to sit in on classes to get familiar with our programs. I have met with all department heads to understand their role as it relates to admissions.
I feel this is extremely important since it keeps us updated.

Getting to know each department, and their duties is the best option in being able to assist a prospective student during enrollment; A chart could be used as refreshment tool, and should be kept in our resource notebook for easy access

I'm fortunate to say that I was a graduate from the institution that I work. I can relate to students and give them accurate information about the program.

I am very new to my company but not new to the position or the industry. while there are many things that I find different in this new position they are many of the same old familiar things that seem to come with the territory. The position of course comes with its challenges but for me it is learning not only the different programs and curriculum but also the student poplulation, new coworkers, who's who, and new company policies. Starting over is not always easy but to me it is challenging and fun and we can never stop learning!

I would consider myself to be very knowledgeable in information regarding my institution. I do not consider myself to be 100% knowledgeable becasue I believe you can never know too much or all of everything.

Although I have been working for the institution for 3 1/2 years there is always so much to learn. There are continually adding programs that requires advisor to be knowledgeable of program offerings. We go through a serious of tutorials and examine to ensure that we have a complete understanding of what we offer. Now that I have a clear picture of the rules and regulation it explains why management are always making sure we stay within compliance. In the education arena we never stop learning everyday there is something new to learn. Learning about Florida Commission rules and regulation is overwhelming but necessary. This new knowledge is preparing to become and expert as an agent.

I am constantly learning new things about the
course work. I have a good knowledge of the College and it history. I talk to the instructors and the students and learn about things like
Cranial Sacral and what it is and how they can
can help their clients with the knowledge.

I am in week 2 with my school but have 10 years experience in the industry so I am very familiar with the changing scene of admissions and read as much up to date information that is available. I would rate my knowledge at 85% at this time as I still have a few program directors to meet with. But I know that if I don't know the answer to a question then I need to ask!

I have been working for 4.5 years for my learning institution therefore, have attended many trainings including "going back to basics". Nowing the graduation rate, programs and classes offers at the local campus as well as online is important. General Standards Procedures in how to process a file, meet with a student, provide proper information and knowing who is the graduation team is a must. Knowing who are the Directors is a plus!

Corri,
You have knowledge from being a student to share with prospective students. This is a great resource.

Johan,
Regulations are always changing. we must always keep up the effort.

Kelly,
Keep on learning! You are taking the steps to success.
