We offer Firefighter and EMT certification as well as many, many continuing education courses for career firefighters. We are well-versed on our main courses, Firefighting and EMT, as these are courses specifically for those wanting to become a firefighter or an EMT or both! We are able to provide career information to those students. We have approximately 20-25 other courses/seminars for currently certified firefighters and we are always learning what is involved in those courses and what they will be used for once completed. We have the luxury of working with the firefighter/Instructors daily. Our Chief and Instructors ensure that we are familiar with the courses and we are able to watch the training on our training grounds at any time. We receive updated written information on all of our courses.

At my institution we offer diploma programs in medical computer technology and office administration. I have met with many businesses in and around the area to get a true sense of the salaries paid, and what their culture is like so that I can couple the right type of student to that employer. We also develop our advisory board from these community employers so that we can stay abreast and get concrete information in a more formal setting. Developing a the relationship with these folks helps to build familiarity needed for future possibilities between our grads and the business also.

Luis,

Exciting programs, indeed. Having technical programs requires you to be very knowledgeable about the intricacies of each field.

Ailyn ,

Good deal! CareerServices should have a wealth of information for you. When I tour prospective students, I make sure they stop by Career Services to meet the team. We are all working for their success.

I have taken the Phleboty and Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide programs. Both programs were quite interesting. I also took the State Exam for CNA [passed it].... now I am a CNA and graduated from the same school I work for. It was a very good experience taking the classes. They were both very demanding and a lot of information was given by the instructor and other students... It is a very good idea to sit in a class and go thru the experience that the student will go thru. This way you speak from experience and now knowledge of the program.

Our school offers a one year/ four modalities of Ultrasound program. You also could come for just half a year if you already have the first two modalities completed. Our program is broken down to OB/GYN, Abdomen, Physics and ECHO/Vascular. We also have Scan Tests, Homework and Evaluations from our Clinical Rotations. There is more details to learn about our program so I will read all the information books and talk to the intructors to make sure I know all the information about our programs.

Our school offers a Basic Massage Therapy Program only. Students will receive a license after completing the 500 hours Florida requires and passing a Board Exam. This information can be found in our catalog and is discussed during a students initial visit.
